26) Half-Life 2: Episode One
It's more Half-Life 2, which is not a bad thing. I had never touched the episodes before. It's pretty cool but naturally more of the same. I could tell it was very gravity gun focused, before I saw there was an achievement for using exclusively it

25) Half-life 2
This is a repeat, but it had been a while since the last time. I'm just setting myself up to play the episodes because I never did. There was actually not a lot I forgot about the game but I couldn't put it down lol
24) Smiling Friends S3
There's not a lot to say. One of the best things to grace my eyes. I have been following Zach for eons. God only knows what he'll do next. But will He have the courage to stop it?
23) Hatred - Dropped
I had interest in seeing what this game was *actually* like. I remember when it made headlines and it was memed to death. Well, I'm not bothered by the carnage, but seeing past that, it's not a game I'd see much point in sinking anything more than an hour at best.
22) Arrival
Had this one on my list for a bit, I didn't really know what to expect. And it wasn't anything I could have expected. I'm still a bit confused about some stuff that happened (or would happen?) but it wasn't bad at all. Not an action flick in the slightest, just tension and mystery.
took me a few hours to get it to climb my finger

I know that guy!
They are scrambling to get AI to absorb that knowledge but I don't think that's happening... and most seniors I know aren't sharing it with the AI either. It's a limbo rn but I think it'll stabilize in favor of humans in the end.
21) Project Hail Mary
Fun movie especially for big guy little guy dynamic enjoyers. Watched it in 4DX and wouldn't necessarily recommend it, wasn't bad but there's a rather long portion where no effect is used, and I still think the scare spray is stupid. Anyway another Gosling banger.
20) DEATHLOOP
Really not as bad as people say. It's a definite 7 out of 10 but I quite enjoyed it I'll be honest. Not enough to follow all the side leads however. The game did become a bit too much of the same over and over. Which is the point.
19) Squirrel with a Gun - Dropped
In the nicest way possible: yep, I'm good.
18) Duke Nukem Manhattan Project
Wasn't sure what to expect from this one, I didn't know it was a platformer. But I did enjoy it, reminiscent of old Duke. Apart from first and last boss they were extremely easy. Levels could get pretty confusing with the backtracking cuz of no map.
17) Killing Floor - Dropped
Finally decided to see what this game is like, lol. It has been sitting on my library since the before times. It's fun don't get me wrong, but seems to have no campaign structure, plus it seemed hard outside of beginner, so I'm just shelving it again. Might try KF2 tho.
16) Machinarium
Another point and click, this was is lauded, but honestly, despite really liking the art style and theme, it bothers me a lot when I can not work for the life of me what I'm supposed to do, and then it's a little thing that I missed. Had to peep a walkthrough multiple times :(
15) Detective Case and Clown Robot in Murder in Hotel Lisbon
That's a mouthful. It's a game made by an indie portuguese studio. It's... cute but like in concept. Not of anything that is said in the game. The writing is mega clichΓ©. The mechanics...are uuh... something. Hmm. Anyway.
14) Overlord - Dropped
Decided to check it out for the nostalgia, but even then I had played it briefly. Perhaps I was right the first time, because I just have to admit to myself I'm not really vibing with the moment-to-moment gameplay. Not being able to rotate the camera also sucks.
13) milk outside a bag of milk outside a bag of milk
I resonate somewhat with the character, even if my mental health was never quite in that space (thank fuck). Don't really got much else to say about it.
Oh man, the video is actually doing pretty well π I mean obviously I'm not "blowing up" or anything but I'm just happy it actually left my circle of friends who'd watch it anyway. It's a reassuring.
12) Alamut
I don't remember the last time I've been so engrossed into a book that I completely exceed what I expect my reading pace to be. I'm not even sure what it was that made me like it so much, but it's a good story, well written, it doesn't bore me, it doesn't use difficult phrases, it's good
youtu.be/4QYTwKxJHuI?...
New Video! I had been stunlocked on this for a while I'm not gonna lie but for some reason the shitty day at work I had yesterday was what I needed to finish this ??
11) Golden Light - Dropped
Considered not even putting this here cuz I played it for a grand total of 20 minutes, and I won't say the game is necessarily bad, but... yeah it's not for me lmao
10) DOOM 64 - Dropped
I thought to myself, "is this just DOOM again?" and as it turns out, no it's not! It's...worse. I'm sorry. The shotgun not having a kick to it is actually detrimental to my experience. Plus the soundtrack is too scary ambience that makes action tense but backtracks boooooooring
9) Boxes: Lost Fragments
This recently had been free on Epic and, idk, I like puzzles, and this one is very pretty at that. It was clear to me this is a mobile game port but, eh. The game isn't really that hard, but honestly I was okay with this too. In that sense, it was quite relaxing.
8) John Dies at the End
This is the cringiest thing I've read ever I think. God damn. The humor in this book lands 1 out of 10 times, maybe. Has interesting ideas but proceeds to shit on them soon after, sometimes quite literally. And no, not even if I was 16 I think. I wouldn't read anything.
7) Half-Life: Blue Shift - Dropped
Unfortunately for Blue Shift my patience for these convoluted levels had ran out. I probably shouldn't have played on Hard either lol. But in a lot of ways it just felt like more of the same and I was Half-lifed out.
6) Half-Life: Opposing Force
I also randomly wanted to play Half-Life, but I decided to play something I hadn't before. It still felt a lot like playing 1. Sometimes I was fucking lost tho. And I'm pretty sure my sense of direction isn't that bad? Pretty standard fun otherwise
5) Dirt 3
I had a sudden need to play this because... I don't know. But I remember playing it briefly on the ps3. And I had fun! However, Ginkana fucking suckst! That mode SUCKS and I'm glad to see that's the general sentiment. Rally is obviously the best mode (maybe I should play Dirt Rally...)
4) Name of the Rose
First book of the year, starting off with a chonker. I actually quite enjoyed the story, enjoy reading is a different matter. It's DENSE. Too dense. My suggestion is to skip the parts you're feeling dense, and you'll know which ones they are! I really liked William as a character
"man imagine if I had like a log of media I consumed so I could look back and-" oh right lmfao okay let me try to bring this up to speed....
