A new politics of hope was born this morning. We do not need to be the cruel nation that Badenoch, Starmer and Farage want. @zackpolanski.bsky.social and the Green Party have shown us we have a choice.

Zack Polanski on how Keir Starmer could have changed the April 2025 UK Supreme Court ruling to protect trans rights (EXCLUSIVE) Zack Polanski revealed how Keir Starmer could have acted to protect trans rights after April 2025 UK Supreme Court ruling.

It’s the Government’s duty to protect all communities - including trans people.

They’re failing to do that.

Trans people deserve safety and dignity.

Northern Ireland is in a femicide crisis.

Since 2020, 28 women and girls have been murdered, the highest rate across the UK and Ireland. These weren’t random acts of violence. They were rooted in a culture of misogyny and control.

I wrote this, I am non binary and the parent of a trans child, i consulted with other trans people and supportive families before it was posted

We can affirm trans kids without pretending exploration doesn’t exist.

I wrote the statement, I’m non-binary and the parent of a trans child. Erasure isn’t what I’m doing. We are the only party actually fighting for them in NI

Calling gay kids ‘confused’ was about dismissal.

‘Gender questioning’ is language many young people use for themselves while they figure things out. That’s not invalidation that’s honesty about development.

A group of life-sized dummies, dressed to resemble people, are arranged in a small boat placed on top of a large wooden bonfire structure. The dummies wear orange life jackets and are positioned as if sitting together in the boat. The bonfire is built from stacked wooden pallets and towers several metres high. The scene is outdoors under a clear sky, and the overall mood is tense and provocative. The words “RACISM ISN’T CULTURE” and “STOP THE BOATS” are clearly visible within the image, along with the Green Party logo. No real people are present.

Bonfires can bring communities together, but there’s nothing cultural about racism, sectarian threats, or putting people’s homes & health at risk. When bonfires are used to intimidate or target minorities, that isn’t tradition - it’s hate. Celebration is about respect, safety, & dignity for all.

Post image Despite the political slurry in Budapest, the corporate slurry in Dublin, and even the literal slurry in Ballymena! Greens from every corner of this island came out in force for Pride today.

Because Pride isn’t just a party. It’s a protest. It’s a refusal to accept the creeping tide of far-right hate, transphobia, and queer erasure at home and across Europe. From the halls of power to the streets of our towns, we’re fighting for a world where LGBTQ+ people are safe, seen, and celebrated every day of the year.
We’re not here for photo ops. We’re here because we believe in liberation and we won’t back down. Not now. Not ever.
