A photo of a squirrel made of bristles with a little traffic cone on it’s head. In the corner is our logo — the name of the organisation with a brain wearing a traffic cone as a hat
It really doesn’t need to take any longer than this
A reminder from Mind:
Blue Monday was made up by a travel company to sell more holidays. Depression doesn’t care what day it is.
Just in case you see this headline and agree with it. Undiagnosed and untreated ADHD costs billions. There’s no money being saved here #ADHD #NHS
And we have our first board games meet-up of the year tomorrow!
📍Hillhead Library
🕰️ We’ll be there 1:30-4:30; drop in (and leave) any time we’re there
🎉 We don’t take it seriously, so don’t worry about forgetting the rules or getting confused. We all do it!

❤️
I popped along to the socialising group in Glasgow today and it was heaving - 30 people or so all playing... dungeons and dragons? (or something like that at any rate!). It was so lovely to be a space where ADHDers were just chilling and enjoying; not even discussing waiting list problems! 😍😍😍
Some of our members playing a game, under a banner with our logo
A graphic with two photos of our members playing games text about our board games meet ups that reads: “Fortnightly Board Games Meetup at Hillhead Library Saturdays 1:30-4:30 Just drop in - no booking • August 9, 23 • September 6, 20 • October 4, 18 • November 1, 15, 29 • December 13 Having ADHD can feel very isolating. If you’re in/near Glasgow and have (or just think you might have) ADHD, come along to this tomorrow!
If you’re not, please share! 8 out of 9 people with ADHD have no diagnosis and no support; your repost could be the first step to someone getting the help they need.

We’ll be at the Social Hub again tomorrow for coffee! Saturday 22nd November
We’d love you to join us!

6 of our members plus one dog at the top of Ben A’an on a beautiful clear day
Our squirrel mascot also at the top, with Loch Katrine behind it
An un-squirrelled view of Loch Katrine from the top
A view north of the hills, including the Cobbler
We don’t just do coffee and boardgames!
We have a thriving WhatsApp Community where our members arrange all kinds of things together — like this hike up Ben A’an a few did recently.
There’s something for everyone at GAAPS, and if there isn’t… suggest it!

We’ll be here again at the Social Hub tomorrow! Saturday 8th November
Come along and join us!

It’s not too hard to set up! We do coffee and board games. Coffee is easy — pick a coffee shop to meet in and advertise (handful of local fliers helps as well as online). Board games can wait until after a few people start coming/ you find a place to play 😊
Remember, remember the first of November,
Board games, ADHD, fun!
Today in Hillhead library
#ADHD #Glasgow
💯
This is really great and so useful! Good luck!
Come along on Saturday (18th Oct) and play some games with people who, like you, can’t remember the rules or whose turn it is.
If it’s not for you, remember 1 in 20 of your followers have #ADHD, but most don’t know it.
You reposting this might be how they finally get help.
#ADHDAwarenessMonth
I wish there was something like that where I live. :(
If you have a place to meet — coffee shop, library — and can advertise on social media/with a few fliers around town, it’s not too hard to set up. Build it and they will come!
A coffee meet up (we also do those) is also an easier place to start. Just need a coffee shop and a time ☕️
🌍 5% of people have ADHD
🇬🇧 0.3% of people are diagnosed
👉 3.5 million undiagnosed
🫥 ...and they're struggling
ADHD is a disorder, not quirky scattiness. To be diagnosable it must have a debilitating effect on daily life.
3.5 million people struggling = under diagnosed.

First meet-up during #ADHDAwarenessMonth is on today as usual!
