someone who writes something has already gone further than the majority who don't write, and that in itself holds immense value to the people who love to read, your "anything" is still better than your "nothing"

Da Freebooterz Code!
Both the defaced by me special edition and the hardcover are available for pre-order next week!

It’s profoundly ignorant to suggest that the Pope should be fighting crime on behalf of the Catholic Church. Anyone who was remotely familiar with Roman Catholicism would know that that’s what Daredevil is for
Extremely neat. Genuine hobby inspo right there!
You might think I’m biased (which I probably am) but whoever is doing the special editions over at Black Library Does Not Miss.
It’s a work of freakin’ art, before you even get to the juicy, delicious story inside.
Bloody lovely stuff.
Why is half of my Instagram feed suddenly anti-democrat/pro-republican “suggestions” that have no discernible relevance to me or my interests? 🧐
A reminder that while am an not aggressively anti-AI, I don’t use it at all. Not for work. Not to dick around. Not to play solo D&D. Nothing. My opinion is that AI is nowhere near ready for market, that people are paying to train it for the corporations, and it is more detrimental than it is useful.
*sigh*
If your Kickstarter video/image is AI, I won't back it.
If your book has an AI cover, I won't read it.
If you're a public supporter of AI use for creative work, I will unfollow you.
I cannot stress enough how offensive I find AI use in the arts. It is outright theft, it is lazy, it is gross.
Why has no one informed me that there’s a film about Clarice Cliff???
I was delighted to be asked to answer a few questions by @civilianreader.com, who was also kind enough to review The King of the Spoil when it first came out. Learn all about my nerdy origins within...

Look at it
LOOK AT IT.
Flippin gorgeous. The eyes follow you around the room like an old painting.
Cannot wait for this one
My phone has just asked me for ID(?!) which is a pretty novel experience nowadays.
Got my ID ready, logged in and it basically said “our bad, you’ve had your Apple ID so long we know you old”
Was it the fact I still buy songs through iTunes that gave it away you think?
I've seen people trying to defend it today by saying "No, no, I just use it to brainstorm, bounce ideas, I do the actual writing" and with all the kindness in the world I need to tell you: if there is a stage of writing you are not good at, you need to get good, not use the plagiarism machine.
Do we have to? Can we not just put them back again for more sleep??
I do not want it on my phone. I do not want it in my home.
I do not want it in my brain. I do not want its supposed “gain.”
Not in a book. Not “take a look!”
Not in my art. Not any part.
I do not want it here or there.
I DO NOT WANT IT ANYWHERE.
Ooo possible Darya Nevic proxy - a few tweaks and minimal conversion bits and this’d be perfect.
I like, a lot!
I’m not saying that artists are weird but at some point in the distant past one of us needed a brush and decided to shave a weasel
As threatened / promised, here is the #Godzilla #RPG chat between me, @markalatham.bsky.social and @jordansorcery.bsky.social
I am immensely proud of this, and would love for you to read it.
Whether you love Twilight Imperium the boardgame, or you just enjoy a great sci-fi novel set in a vast and complex world, Thunders Edge: Echoes of Memory has it all.

I know we all say it a lot but it is REALLY recent that numbers like this were close to unimaginable, for a grid the size of Britain and its current level of interconnection elsewhere.
This is important because pretending we can't exist without fossil fuels is a big lie designed to stop us trying

Cover image of Black Library novel Zardu Layak: The Crimson Apostle, showing Horus Heresy character Zardu Layak.
Excited to say my next book for Black Library has been announced!
ZARDU LAYAK: THE CRIMSON APOSTLE is about the man with the coolest name / helmet combination in the entire Horus Heresy. www.warhammer-community.com/en-gb/articl...
Directly into my veins, please 👍
Buzzing for this. You should check out Rich’s excellent Lords of Excess if you haven’t already
On my way to the #LondonBookFair. Hope to see some of you there :)
For World Book Day, I am sharing the book which was graced with the most awesome of covers and which I probably had the most fun writing. Based on the tabletop game ‘Wild West Exodus’, I give you ‘Lazarus’.
Book also features the most judgey animal ever.
