Also, I still don't think I'm great at Blender or anything. This is just how the question is usually framed. Do a couple tutorials every week and you're bound to get better. Also, try modeling random objects around your house.
Sounds about right. When people ask me, "How'd you get good at blender?" This is how. Just do tutorials. Even if it's for something you don't think you'll use in a project, you'll almost always learn something you'll use eventually.

Oh nice! didn't realize there was already a guide out there to get the new version of affinity running on Linux. I might play around with it in a windows VM to compare performance on Linux. It won't be a problem on Linux, but I bet V3 is sending tons of telemetry being "free" now on win/mac
I didn't use this specific guide, but I can confirm that Affinity Photo does indeed run well on Linux. I've been using it for over 6 months now. I had a paid Affinity account but on Linux it never asked for my credentials to run. So the paywall was effectively not there. Only tested this on Kubuntu
