My son LOVES his hat, but it was really annoying me that it was a smidge too short, and didn’t keep his ears warm. 😑

I graphed added sections, did some yarn math, and unravelled the crown. (small sock DPNs as a “lifeline” was a huge help!!)

I’m getting faster at fair isle at least!

Top bin: mint was a dud. Trying again with fresh packets of peppermint and spearmint.
Center: Basil seems to be growing well.
Bottom: left side has 1 lonely curly leaf parsley seedling. The right side is overcrowded with flat leaf parsley.

I love seed stitch, and didn’t realize I needed a seed stitch cardi, until I saw this. 🖤

Such a great pattern!!
I’ve been thinking about making myself another, since I “outgrew” the last one.. 😅

I’ve herded all my cotton-ish yarn together, so I can brainstorm at least another summer sweater or two.
Not quite done this hyperfocus yet 😅

Just this week I have daydreamed 6 sweaters into existence, and don’t have the time, patience, or money, to fund any of them.. 😅

Same.
That’s how I have a bin of hats that only have brims, or triangle shawls that would fit a toddler…
I started making scrappy granny squares when I’m indecisive. But that’s just adding to another long term project. 😅

Looking forward to seeing your combo!

I put a stitch marker at the point where I start working on it for the day/week, so I can see some kind of progress. If not I’ll end up putting it in the WIP pile 😅

Thanks! I had no idea how to use that white yarn, so I experimented.

I’m so glad it turned out somewhat how I imagined! 😅
The white slub yarn was something my sister found at a yard sale, and the teal ombre is Hobbii Twister.

Rectangular shawls just feel like long, too skinny blankets.. it gets tedious for me too. 😬

I finished knitting my cotton sweater at the end of March, but took another week to weave in the ends.
After quite a few rainy days, I finally remembered to take a picture.
It’s a tad heavy, but it will be PERFECT for summer nights on the boardwalk.

Look at that gradient!! 😍

Rep. Jayapal: "If you try to eliminate birthright citizenship, jail people for free speech, slash funding, use Cold War-era regulations to do mass deportations, then yeah. You're going to get nationwide injunctions. So maybe if you don't like the injunctions, stop doing the illegal stuff."

Having to frog a few inches on my summer pullover was not great, but at least the pile of yarn is still pretty.
Now to rework the divide for sleeves, and avoid this pile turning into a giant tangle as I knit. 🤞🏻🧶

I needed a simple project to work on between frogging and reknitting the sleeves on the white and teal summer sweater. 😅

My predictable tv watching project: a simple crochet shawl, plus ombre bc of course… (I might need some not-blue cotton yarns..)

It’s beautiful!! It would take me a week to do 4 or 5 inches of that center knot!
I would have to chart it and color code all those twists to be able to keep track. 😅

I’m hopeful that the large airy gauge means I’ll be able to finish in time to actually wear it this year. 🤞🏻
The “vintage” thick and thin yarn is meh, but the ombré cotton is my fav, and I really love how it’s knitting up. 🧶

Sadie Wensdee thinks resting my hands means they’re free for petting. 🐩

Investing in our children is investing in the health of our nation. I feel so terrible at the mess we are forcing them to grow up in, and inherit.

Why don’t republicans want our children to have medical coverage, be fed, and educated?!?!?!?
How is that “wasteful spending”??

I’m proud to see my former congressional rep, of Burlington County NJ, supporting our people as a senator. 💙
