Once I saw this meme format I couldn't resist making a version about video editing π€ͺ

Beautiful
The Emperor Palpatine costume is more convincing with a hood, but otherwise, he nailed it.
thank you bell hooks

Potato Soup: more satisfying than a Scooby Snack
It's potato soup, in progress. So there's much butter, and much cream.
A giant metal pot that appears to be filled with liquid butter.
Wishing a happy pot full of butter to all who celebrate
Ha ha! Amazing.
I'm already calling customer support under duress. Making me listen to "on hold music" is salt in the wound.
The MKH-50 is also useful when shooting in tight spots, such as under a low ceiling indoors, where a 416 is a but much.

A slight move off axis can sound comb filtered with a 416. But since the MKH 50 lacks an interference tube, it avoids the comb filtering. The supercardioid pattern holds pretty consistent across the spectrum, so off axis sounds donβt have any particular color. 2/3
Underside view of a Sennheiser MKH-50 supercardioid microphone in the elastic shock mount made by the manufacturer.
Wishing a happy Microphone Monday to all who celebrate! The Sennheiser MKH 50 was first recommended to me by Doc Kane for ADR. Once the low rolloff is engaged it has a very similar sound to itβs sister Sennheiser, the popular 416 used for film/TV dialog.

Could you make things for yourself, and no one else?
I believe that a real cyclist is a person who rides a bike, for any reason.
Sometimes there is a part of me that's stuck in the past, thinking and doing things based on the way things were then, not now. That part is valuable, but may not think and do helpful things in a different context of now. Things have changed, and I have changed, and I can think and do now.

For me, send/return makes mixing faster & easier... generally.
But insert verb/delay can be useful in some situations, in my opinion. And everyone's got their own workflow, so what's "right" for me, may not be for someone else.
If you keep tweaking the wet/dry mix on an insert, you keep needing to readjust the volume level to get the same volume on the dry signal, which can be annoying, but isn't "wrong."
If you're only using one reverb on one track, it's the same processing cost.
If you want to use one reverb on a bunch of tracks, send/return is easier, and saves some processing.
You can use reverbs on sends/returns, AND inserted on a channel. Both work, both are fine.
Chat DBZ... that's an amazing take. I'm going to call it that from now on.
"...quite a trip."
That's a good looking haul
