I so wanted Pierce to keep up what Dalton started and GoldenEye was a great start but it didn't take long for him to become Roger Moore 2.

I think that's a great point. I hadn't considered that.

I don't think Dalton would have stuck around if he felt that's what was happening. Brosnan for whatever reason just kept going with them until they almost became parodies.

Yes. I would have preferred him to continue instead of being replaced by Pierce Brosnan who ended up failing back into Roger Moore's Bond.

I'm a sucker for the Charles Laughton version.

There were definitely a few questionable plot points with this one. However, I felt that the acting was fairly solid.

Oliver Reed was a much better actor than people gave him credit for.

I planted crocus and daffodil bulbs about a month before my partner died. It makes me smile to see them bloom. They are a beautiful memorial to him.
