These are the types of raised/tabled crossings that I want US cities to start building. They're continuous for people walking and biking instead of continuous for drivers (even if they're raised up).

I’m thankful that the council presidents who think “leadership” means giving Mayor Frey whatever he wants are *former* council presidents. (1/4

I remain convinced that one of the most important things the next Democratic president can do to avoid falling victim to a Biden-style vibecession is to mercilessly, relentlessly crack down on crypto and organized gambling. Just go full scorched-earth.

He should be using hot dogs. It's FRANKLY un-American that he's still using bread and wine.

Pope Leo is WEAK on agriculture and bad for your pocket book. When he talks about the "transubstantiation" of teeny tiny crackers and the wine, but doesn't mention the TRANSUBSTANTIATION that I have accomplished in creating a beautiful economy, the best economy anyone has ever seen.

The Governor’s Supplemental Budget Has One Transit Line Item. It’s a Cut. Walz is looking to cut transit funding again — while ignoring a billion-dollar annual highway maintenance crisis stemming from the fourth-largest road network in the country.

Great idea to cut transit funding right at the outbreak of a prolonged oil shortage. Minnesota lawmakers should do precisely the opposite of what Walz is proposing. streets.mn/2026/04/07/t...

Holy shit, every single aspect of this story is so tremendously infuriating. How many of these kids are there, forced to suffer?

Attn: Minnesota Department of Transportation Commissioner Nancy Daubenberger, Central Avenue Improvement Team, Ricardo Lopez
CC: State Senator Doron Clark, State Representative Sydney Jordan, Commissioner Irene Fernando
Dear Central Avenue Reconstruction Decision Makers,
We are writing to express the overwhelming desire of our community for an "Art Walk" along Central Avenue NE in Minneapolis. As many community members have shared, this has long been a vision that could finally come to fruition through the Central Avenue reconstruction project.
The Northeast Minneapolis Arts District has been consistently named the top arts district in the nation due to the concentration of world-renowned local artists and visionaries in our neighborhood. An Art Walk along the main cultural corridor in Northeast would reflect our community's pride and identity as a vibrant, arts-driven destination.
We understand that the project team is working to develop a corridor-wide Visual Quality Advisory Committee to facilitate aesthetic recommendations from interested individuals. While this is an excellent opportunity to allow for community input, we believe there is an opportunity for more robust discussions on how to solidify desires for widened pedestrian space and art pads at major intersections.
The outpouring of support for the Art Walk provides an exciting opportunity for MnDOT and other partners to develop another destination point for our neighborhood and reflect the deep arts culture that is so widely celebrated. Not only would it provide aesthetic and cultural benefits, but it would also support traffic calming and mode-shift goals that contribute to the safety and the livability of our city.
We look forward to your response and thank you for your continued work on this project. We are both committed to do the work with you to make this happen.
Best

Last week Council Member Rainville and I sent a letter to MNDOT expressing our support for incorporating an “Art Walk” in the reconstruction of Central Ave. We have the #1 arts district in the country and this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to forever incorporate it on Central Ave.

The horror stories rolling in from Minnesota are just the tip of the iceberg. This 20-year-old, who's lawfully present in the country, was arrested for being Latino, then jailed in a filthy cell where he couldn't even sit down. 18 days of illegal detention. democracyforward.org/wp-content/u...
