Kudos 2 him, but my problem with this whole situation is that he’s not just speaking to Trump, yet the situation seems to be framed entirely as a back and forth between the two. There are far too many autocrats (including Trump) for whom his commentary applies. I hope the rest of the world sees this

It is the anniversary of the My Lai massacre today. I'd say that even more than most years, it's important to remember what happened.

And the role Hugh Thompson, an active serviceman, played in both stopping and publicising it. Despite enormous military, political and public pressure to stay quiet.

"This study shows that even the iconic T. rex was quite birdlike in the way that it walked," said Steve Brusatte, a paleontologist at the University of Edinburgh who was not involved in the study. "It would have been something like an eight-ton chicken clucking about in the barnyard."

If dinosaurs have your household in a chokehold like mine (2.5 yr old son) this is BIG news

They beat a blind refugee who speaks no English for failing to obey police commands he could not understand. Then instead of apologizing, they charged him with possession of a “weapon”—HIS WALKING STICK. Then they dumped him miles from home without notifying anyone, after which he was found dead.

Please read this article to the end. Even before ICE got involved, this started because this *blind man who speaks no English and uses a curtain rod as a walking stick* got lost on a walk and some Karen called the police on him and they tasered and beat him bc he didn’t drop the rod. WTF

On February 19, 1942, President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed E.O. 9066, authorizing the forced relocation & incarceration of more than 125,000 Japanese Americans, solely because of their heritage.

If you're a book creator and people in your life don't understand why book bans are such a sore point for you then by god show them this film. It really gets people fired up.

If we’ve been the spine, then someone else on the security council needs to fill the void that we’re leaving. While I have my valid concerns about other western nations, I find myself hoping that they take the lead rather than some of the non-western members of this council. It’s all a mess.

The feds respond. They say they're concerned about the release of evidence in the Broadview conspiracy case because "given the current climate, it will be very difficult to pick an unbiased jury."

(Defendants say they've already agreed not to release info that would identify agents.)

Respectfully, I disagree. The worst trifecta is when members of all 3 branches of government (at all levels) bought, sold, 🍇’d, tortured, maimed, ☠️’d, and terrorized other humans on stolen land from people who experienced the same. Times are terrible, yes, but we have had worse.

Gotta fill those ICE centers being built around the country somehow, right? We all knew that these places were being built for us. If the UN had a spine, they’d get involved.

Google to pay $68 million over allegations its voice assistant eavesdropped on users Class-action lawsuit alleged that Google's voice assistant illegally recorded and shared private conversations with advertisers.

Do you remember when people were saying "I think my phone is listening to me, i'm getting ads for stuff I spoke about" and people said "They arent listening to you, they're just this good at predicting your interests"?

Well, it happens they were doing exactly that.

I fear my tipping point into madness is "Thus is un-American" posts in response to ICE terrorizing immigrants. I beg you to open Wikipedia (I would say a book but let's start small) and read up on The Trail of Tears, Fugitive Slave Catchers, Japanese internment, Indian Boarding schools & Jim Crow

Without a doubt. So much of this is retaliation for Obama mocking him to his face and him not being able to do anything about it.

I know there are those who are saying Trump cannot cancel elections. But again, we've been told too many times "He CAN'T do that" only to see him do exactly what people said he can't do.
