This was a fun one for me to write. It's the Angine de Poitrine argument for universal basic income. We could have more weird, awesome, truly human stuff like this if we all had UBI. We could have more Einsteins too. And because those things are true, the cost of NOT doing UBI isn't worth it.

Somewhat ludicrous BBC headline: "staggering" I was not told Mandelson failed vetting, says PM
[climbing out of my car which is now embedded in my neighbours' front room, turning to them hands on hips] honestly I'm as mad about this as you are
Peter mandelsons entire career is like a cursed pharaohs amulet that kills everyone that tries to use its power and every other week some Labour party idiot picks up and goes have we tried using the pharaohs amulet

Still undecided? Would 25% off shirts and up to 40% off elsewhere sweeten the deal? Good, cos it’s happening RIGHT NOW!!
This is rather brilliant - Having Super Mario Kart Racing in your own home, the live-action version.

I wrote a novel using AI. Writers must accept artificial intelligence -but we are as valuable as ever| Stephen Marche The Guardian The, GuardianOpinions
You wrote a novel using AI? Cool. It's like that time I ran a marathon using a Ford Focus.
Pilgrim I literally never read a prologue on principle alone. If it's that important, it should be in the book.
Doyle789 I agree completely. The epilogues and prologues aren't part of the story. If they were important they would be part of the story. People write forwards for books, that's just another person writing about what they thought about the book or author... I assume that's what author is doing in the prologue and epilogues
Erin I agree. I feel like it's stuff that wasn't good enough to be in the book 20h Reply 100
dude epilogues and prolouges to me are equivalent to dvd bonus features and are therefore skippable unless you're really into it 8h Reply • 255
I do not take booktok seriously and I never will. What the fuck you mean the epilogue and prologue “aren’t part of the book/story”???????
Yeah they’re far worse than the media reports eyyoo

wouldn't it be funny if EVERYONE blocked this Attie AI account @ bsky.app/profile/atti... before they could do anything with it
'I'm pleased to have this opportunity to update you on our longstanding position.' is fucking baller
subway ad that says "your idea could be live by the time you reach your stop"
as a culture we have really given "ideas" way too much credit. ideas are a dime a dozen. they happen all the time. the magic is way more in the doing, and the doing's diminished stature is linked to lack of respect for labor and, more recently, skill and expertise.

Allow me to convey my hateness for this likeness shit. You wanna see the dead actor? Go watch all the movies they acted in when they were alive. You want new movies? Give new actors paid acting jobs to make new movies. Stop this shit.

So relieved there's no bigger issues to worry about right now. Thanks, Ed.

It will take more than one post to list all the ways in which the right have no media literacy whatsoever. They love the noise & sound films & TV make without understanding what any of it means. So anyway, let's go through some of the clips they used in support of their illegal and immoral war. 1/7
