the horrendous results aside, an ML algorithm intercepting game frames before they land on your screen & slapping an instagram filter on them with no rhyme or reason is something we should categorically reject. why would anyone be happy to leave all those artistic choices to a one-size-fits-all AI?

I give a lot of advice about best practices creatively and technically in game loc, but philosophically, you only do truly good work when you don't treat the material like a notch in your belt. You're not respecting it and the effort put into creating it when it's just Content and a clout booster.
