The wait for Brennan Johnson to fulfil the expectations of his £35m move to Crystal Palace continues.
Glasner backed him, but that was more an indictment of his sluggish start than a glowing endorsement of his display vs West Ham.
Palace paid for attacking results, not defensive traits. #CPFC

Is there a more influential player in the Premier League than Manchester United talisman Bruno Fernandes?
In every season since Fernandes joined #MUFC in January 2020, his goal contributions have hit double figures. He's now just two assists away from a PL record. Piece:

Both
Think that's the perfect example.
Can go back even further too. It's the lifeblood of the club. And of course, it's not solely on Glasner. But his inability to empathise demonstrates that he doesn't grasp the club’s identity.
I'm not sure that's accurate.
Crystal Palace is rooted in one type of player: mavericks. Any generation of #CPFC supporters would say that is why they love watching them.
Yet that unpredictability has evaporated in Oliver Glasner’s final season, leaving supporters bored as exhausted groans and boos become a matchday staple.

Once again, I have already written a piece about that this season.
However, Glasner & the supporters only have themselves to blame for making this fracas the story.
Glasner is the story at the moment. I've said my piece on Parish. I quite like Oliver FWIW, but it's our responsibility to report his missteps - especially when that's what supporters are talking about.
I have separated the fan and journalist, yes.
As for Parish, I have been extremely vocal in criticising him this season and have come under fire for doing so - to the extent that he publicly called me out and had to do an interview with another journalist days later to control the damage.
What makes it client journalism? Upon first reference, I called Parish the chairman; then I just pointed out that he is also a fan of the club and that he usually follows the mood when sacking a manager.
No. Get over it. There was nothing sensationalist about it.
