Smaller painting of a Harris/s Hawk. I love their deep brown and rust colors, accented by bright yellow.

Made a pair of cutie patooties out of polymer clay for the summer. 🦋

I'm not entirely sure when I last spent an extended period of time making something just for fun; it was nice.

An acrylic painting on the back of a Screaming Nemesis artist proof - a 6.3x8.8cm card. It shows a darkened, smoldering angel kneeling in hot clouds, tearing herself in half starting with the face. Starlight full of eyes pours out.
The eyes are raised above the painting (using glass beads, gel and a shiny medium) so they distort the paint behind them in a fun way.

Another view of the same painting, angled so as to show the very shiny effects. The pink dots in the eyes use fluorescent paint, so those are reactive to UV light in a fun way but this was difficult to photograph as it was, so it's left to the viewer's imagination.

Another artist proof sketched!
The request was for a fallen angel self destructing, which got me thinking - since angels are famously full of eyes, they ought to come out when one tears its face off.

Today's fun activity: "growing" eyes onto a painting by periodically adding medium over glass beads.
Micolash would be proud.

She's so beautiful and fierce! I love how her strong stance (and weapon) contrast with the soft background, while there's plenty of swirly flowy detailing to her and the ship.

Queen Forfallen, for the D&D Forgotten Realms books.

18x24 Oil on Board

The Queen of the Rusting affected Norlanders. This was a fun one to tackle, I had worked on the concept side of things for this book as well and it felt nice to come full circle on a finished interior.
