It is tragic that all my friends I'm usually around haven't watched the Cluedo movie, because I so badly want to quote *that one quote at the end of the movie* all the time but it sounds so weird if you don't know it is a reference, and it is a spoiler if I explain the context.
But it is so funny.

Me in a Mexican standoff, being smug because I speak Spanish so I understand what they are saying:
I was talking today with @olivia.ribiveer.com about how bad videogame genre names are and unlike movie genre names, and she pointed out that "spaghetti western" name-wise is like the movie equivalent of "jrpg".
Maybe we aren't the only ones bad at naming things
I made a game where humans talked when they met, and I gave them a cooldown so they wouldn't talk again right away, called the variable for it "SocialAnxiety".
That game was about being a ghost possessing objects, and I made the variable for if an object had never been possesed before "IsVirgin"
Man, that's pretty messed up. 😭
Anyone else have any other cursed code? I want to see them. #gamedev
You ever think back at a recent but still kinda expired discourse, and completely change your mind on it?
I just randomly flipped 180 on the Toby Fox translation discourse. Like yeah, he absolutely should have gotten Undertale localized in other languages by now in these 10 years, lazy bastard (/h)
A starfield filled with thousands of stars and shining clouds of dust. The Milky Way\u2019s elegant spiral structure is dominated by just two arms wrapping off the ends of a central bar of stars. Spanning more than 100,000 light-years, Earth is located along one of the galaxy\u2019s spiral arms, about halfway from the center. Credit: NASA

I was just talking to a friend today about Dolly Parton's Imagination Library - new books every month, totally for free, for kids ages 1-5.
My son was part of the program - this is a copy of the letter that came with his last book, right after his 5th birthday.
a hill i would happily die on is that clickable thumbsticks are an unnecessary point of mechanical failure, result in unintended inputs, and are a huge RSI risk and they shouldn't be standard.
i think part of adulthood should be not clapping when popular consumerist culture appropriates inside humor
possibly this color for the urns. previously there were saturated colors, but not blues- so i might try a skewed or softer variant on this.

Friendslop game where you’re all little monks/nuns wandering around an abbey knocking over crucifixes and going to vespers
When I finish a game I got really into, I go check on the community to see which of my opinions they share and which absolutely insane opinions they hold as commonplace.
Like what do you mean people like Monk in Mewgenics, literally the worst class in the entire game I hate that shit so much
I FUCKING CALLED THE PLOT TWIST(KINDA) OF MEWGENICS I AM SO FUCKING GENIUS sorry I just needed people to know I predicted one thing being revealed in a game I played also I beat mewgenics yay

Rock - They have Anxiety
Mewgenics has this cool feature where the further I progess, the more new songs I unlock to listen to in endless loop for the coming months.
I got to the part of the game where Crazy Days plays, and thought "oh yeah I'm gonna up the spotify plays numbers on that quite a bunch"
I'm like over 50 hours in Mewgenics now, and I have the problem that all my cats look nearly the same because they are just *that* inbred. Wish I could like, give my cats a makeover.
And no I am not gonna stop inbreeding them. I got my first cat with Autism today, inbreeding cats rocks

Chapter 1 of Moby Dick, page 1 The phrase ‘Call me Ishmael’, the first sentence of the book, is highlighted in blue, with careful highlighting on the very big C at the start. Above this, written in ballpoint pen ‘His name’
Love the glimpse into the beautiful mind that notated this used copy of Moby Dick I got
Sometimes I wish HW had more mass appeal, but I have to remind myself that so much of the movies, games, music, etc. I enjoy the most are those that make me feel crazy thinking about how the rest of the world isn’t constantly singing their praises. Like when I watch a low budget/indie movie with a lot of obvious heart and after it ends I’m excited and go on letterboxd only to see it averaged at 2.5 stars. Or discover a beautiful song from a band that existing for a blip in time 20 years ago that barely exists on the internet now. And it hurts to think about people spending so much time and effort on making things that only a small number of people will appreciate, but on the audience side I truly do feel like my life is so much better with these things in it. I feel like they were made for me. As much as I wish there was a way everyone who creates could feel the value of their work, I know our world is not set up for that. But then I guess they do know in some sense, because they keep making - in spite of it all. And that’s really inspiring to me.
