A digital art depicting Quincey Morris, a charming american gentleman and distant relative of the famous Belmont clan, along with his closest aquaintances and friends: Jonathan and Mina Harker, newly married yet with one of them biten and infected by the evil vampire count, Arthur Holmwood (now titled Lord Godalming after his father's passing), aristocrat and one of now deceased Lucy Westenra's suitors whom she during her life chose to be her love, Dr. John Seward, psychiatrist and also Lucy's past suitor (along with Quincey himself) and Prof. Abraham van Helsing, Seward's mentor with a wide knowledge of the occult, traveling by train during a sunset, somewhere in the middle of Europe, heading east to Transylvania. Quincey is standing a bit to the side of the main scene, of Mina and Jonathan silently crying over the possibility of Mina soon sharing poor Lucy's fate (who's spirit can be faintly seen in one of the windows of the train car) of being turned into a vampire and having to be killed to save her soul, with everyone else sitting or standing closer to the tragic yet persistant and powerful couple, solemnly silent yet being there for them. The atmosphere is heavy and mournful, as if everyone in the scene, including Jonathan and Mina, is preamptively saying their goodbyes to each other, as the final battle against an incomprehensibly powerful evil draws closer and closer, sencing that perhaps not all of them will come back from it alive, if not all of them meeting their demise. Yet the color palette of rich browns and pinks evokes a feeling of warmth and closeness, showing how their support and love for each other keeps them hopeful and determined to fight for the right cause.
