Originally they were just gonna be purple, and i thought they should be Poison/Normal (as a nod to LA Pollution) but then I got the idea of basing them off of the California Poppy. But I kept some of the purple though bc purple is pretty 💜

it is VERY hard not to instinctively grab my heat gun and dry these immediately (my usual M.O.) but the point is to let the salt (and watercolor itself!) do its thing until it dries.... and i am oh so impatient!

for October i'm not doing any specific prompts list or challenge and instead i'm just gonna focus on doing art (digital and traditional included!)

starting with these wip's! the lighting is poor and they're still drying but it was nice to paint again 😊
