In the context of the present war, it matters. Regardless of what you think about the Israeli government, on 10/7, Israelis (and other foreign nationals) were murdered, raped, and kidnapped, including babies, children and old people. In other words, civilians were targeted. Where was the outcry?

Even if you're right that the Bibas children were killed by an Israeli airstrike, what's the purpose of taking a baby and a toddler hostage, while killing the family dog?

The deaths of innocent kids Kfir and Ariel Bibas in captivity is a war crime & a heartbreaking tragedy.

Whether they were killed in an Israeli airstrike, as Hamas claims, is frankly irrelevant.

There was never any justification whatsoever for kidnapping kids in the first place.

Technically you're correct that Hamas (the acronym for Islamic Resistance) was founded in 1987. But they are the "Palestine wing" of Muslim Brotherhood, which was founded in 1920 in Egypt to end British colonialism and establish a state ruled by sharia law under a caliphate.

I'm afraid you're right. The recent meeting between Trump and Netanyahu has me concerned they are quashing hope for Israel or Palestine to exist as democracies.
