it’s hard not to look at the majority of the books that get published in Australia and not want to blow your brains out

People are using autism to rort the NDIS, but it’s not the people with autism As a support worker (an autistic one to boot), I've had a ground’s-eye view of an industry with little to no oversight — one where government policy has had the marrow sucked out of it by a vicious circle of shoddy private companies.

since the media is banging the drums of “unsustainable growth” again in the hopes that the government guts the ndis, this piece in crikey by @cormacmccafe.bsky.social from back in august is the only thing worth reading on the matter www.crikey.com.au/2025/08/29/n...

to understand Ben Robert-Smith you have to understand Hale School, a high school seemingly designed to churn out malignant psychopaths. He's what happens when you put a gun in a born to rule's hands.

Andy Weir saying he would hate it if anyone found meaning from his novels is so funny. The epic bacon middle manger writer of our times.

Is there like…a go to literary profiler in Australia these days? I’d love to be profiled by someone who’s…switched on

Thoughts with all ABC staff who took the difficult, necessary decision to go on strike, only to see senior ABC personalities such as Sabra Lane and Leigh Sales not just cross the picket, but enthusiastically strike-break. Speaking from experience, it's miserable to see senior colleagues do this.
