#10 this year is the Japanese novel Strange Pictures by Uketsu. I read it in Japanese to mix things up. Since the novel was described as horror, I wasn't sure if I'd be able to handle it, but it's really more of a murder mystery with logic puzzles. I think it's style over substance.
