While focused on eliminating minority opportunity districts through the replacement of 4 of my Houston/Dallas colleagues, the GOP will swiftly begin gerrymandering to further Trump’s grip, with a likely redraw of the entire state. It is the latest power grab that citizens must rise up and resist.
Desperate to protect his obedient GOP majority’s lock on Congress, and anxious that many GOP will lose, Trump directed Gov. Abbott to find 3-5 new Texas Congressmembers through more crooked gerrymandering.
