This is exactly what was forecast. Obviously the most severe impacts from this storm will continue to be in the red warning areas of Wales and SW England, but there are still Amber warnings in place elsewhere.

The Met Office has now issued an AMBER warning for snow across parts of the North East and Cumbria. Latest suggestions are as much as 20-30cm of fresh snow over the highest ground, significant drifting in gale force winds.

The thing that feels nice about the shift to this app is that it feels like a fresh start, and I think everyone needs that. A gentle pause button from the outrage that algorithms keep feeding us and that are so addictive. Whether that’s possible to avoid on any platform, though, remains to be seen.
