My lovely husband reminded me this morning that we're coming up our 40th anniversary.

Goodness! 40 years!

This is all so upsetting to see this BS rhetoric continue.

I see and know kids who are sick constantly now. And it's WRONG to continue to do this to them.

I'm just back from picking up a referral from local GP. Me, of course, only mask. Hacking cough background noise. Sign that things are going swimmingly is the freshly-laminated, new-since-last-time 'don't touch the ... β†’ infection control' signs now attached to every surface again. If only ...

Living in a rural/regional area, I like the access and convenience of online. But, oh! I'm increasingly sick of it all and miss the days of my local town actually having local services.

I really, really, really wish we would.

Hi An
Much better this morning, thank you. πŸ™ Hubs got home after 10.30-ish last night. Fire's under control this morning & it's nice & cool today. Also heard from a Vic friend I was concerned for too, & that's made me feel better as well. Appreciate you listening yesterday. πŸ’œ

Thanks Noor. Yes, all good. He got home a bit before 11 last night. The fire is being shown as 'being controlled' now on the fires NSW app and a nice cool day ahead. πŸ™

With a bit of luck 🀞 I hadn't paid much attention to the forecast of when the change was coming through, tonight or early tmw. It's dropping to 21 tmw tho, which will be lovely. So better that it is rather than another gusty stinker tomorrow. Other places not so fortunate.

Hubs msged - said wind seemed to have eased but still seems blowy. Temps around 30 a little while back but cool change forecast for tmw. 🀞

Although the roads have been closed, so hard to say. Patience isn't always my strength. Anyway, area crews seem to be concentrating on this one now, so hopefully they'll have it under control soon. Thanks An, appreciate it. xx

Thank you πŸ™πŸ«‚. Me too.

I hate being here but not being a lot of use physically if I was there and then hubs would be worrying about me on top of it, but watching the map updates seeing it closer and hubs on his own and yeah, I'm letting anxiety brew which is totally unhelpful, but 😩. I do. Not. Like Summer.

Poor hubs hasn't eaten since breakfast - planned to be home by lunch. He must be starving.

Thanks An. Me too. Hubs found Pooch, so that's a good something. But I'm trying not to be anxious sitting at home waiting. Last updated map *looks* closer but I can't really tell. Anyway, I think there's a lots of local crews out there now, and lots of experienced farmers, so hopefully ... πŸ™

Just to note the first one wasn't *as* close and is back under 'advice'. Latest one, much closer.

Horrid day weather-wise today. Bushfire to one side of us in the morning. Now another one on other side. And one of our dogs decided it was a good time to go missing while hubs has to see to things in case fire isn't controlled quickly. Bring on tomorrow's cool weather change soon, please!

I'm glad it - touch wood - has worked multiple times for you. I'll be very interested to read thru tmw.

Pity we don't have public health anymore, and have to DIY everything. Anywho.
Thank you again.

Thanks so much for this. Will have a proper read thru tomorrow when I'm (hopefully) headache free. Appreciate the info. πŸ™

Briefly unmasked, close range specialist appointment today for hubs. CO2 hovering around 1200 with no open window or filtration. Prior to appointment, requested dr wear an n95/P2 (and followed up to remind), but got a gappy blue mask.

Wish us luck as we wait to see if anything viral came home.

Was thinking afterwards that possibly evidence from the WHO and ? acknowledging Cvd being airborne. πŸ€”Anyway, thanks heaps.

This is really helpful! Thanks Ingrid :-). I know I've read and bookmarked SO much, but synthesising 5+ years of acquired knowledge had me a bit overwhelmed.

I'll remind myself what's in Sean Mullen's document - that might prompt my memory more too.
I also really like Al Haddrell's stuff, and ...

I know full well most people don't want to know these days, esp. h'care, but anywho, thought I'd a organise a relevant list on my phone in case a 'look into it' actually ends up serious or receptive. So hit me with your best links that would encourage a medical practice manager to clean the air.

the RACGP? Other practices who this practice might contact re how they go about cleaning the air? (EG Michael, the WA dr who's opened a bunch of practices in remote WA (can't remember the TwX handle)? Other ideas?
Anyway, the manager said they'd 'look into it' (which is most likely yeah-nah πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ). /2

If you were going to share links or resources about airborne transmission with a (maybe??) semi-receptive medical practice manager (Aust), what would you include on your list? There's the Aust Academy Sci statement (I wish there were more maskers in that cohort, but I digress). Anything from .../1

It was such a special thing to see the creativity these prompts inspired in my students. And then proudly shared. Just magic.
