I've been playing this game the last week or so and it's hands down my favorite game I've played this year so far. It just came out and is SUPER underrated so I highly recommend it, esp for anyone who's a Hollow Knight fan specifically

don't beat yourself up for it TT as I've gotten older I just view mine as like a little quirk I have!! i think lisps can be quite charming!!

same, except mine is only on "ch" or "j" type sounds. I used to work in restaurants and the amount of times grown adults would make fun of me like high school bullies for the way I said "cheese" is incredibly shocking

YESSS I feel like it doesn't fit my character type but maybe I can make it work LOL

Not sure!! I think it might have something to do w the carbonation cuz ya if I do milk after soda i see it chunking up a bit SDFLKHSFD

re: carbonation, you only put a very small amount of milk/cream in so no effects there!

3 days ago 1 0 0 0

like if you put the milk after the soda it def gets a lil chunky (but you can mix it and it's not very noticable after you mix it, isnt unpleasant to drink either!) I hear that full sugar soda mixes better than diet soda and this isnt a problem but I'll never know LOL

I've been on a huge dirty soda kick and tbh it kind of depends on how you mix it/what kind of soda/etc. I use almond milk + diet soda instead of heavy cream bcuz i don't like to drink high calorie things and I find that if I put the milk/syrup in first and THEN the soda it doesn't coagulate as much

it's like an old PC game that everyone's memeing on cuz the BGM is extremely silly LOL bsky.app/profile/game...

it's unacceptable. Like the onus should be on the socmed companies to ban accounts that even ATTEMPT to post shit like that. but they don't. even blocking them hardly works if they just make new accts

like if I'm expected to have a huge audience to even get a CHANCE at telling my stories, but the price of that audience is letting the worst people you know tell me they want to rape me because I said smth they don't like... yeah, only certain types of ppl will be having their stories told

esp for women/femme presenting folx quite frankly. like i'm not even gonna cherrycoat it, it is the WORST for us. i also got death threats & rape threats for some of my YT vids and it's like. that should not be smth we have to "accept" to have the ability to make art in the world.

yep sdflkhsfd and like i understand on one end like, in a capitalistic society the art needs to sell, but like. the metrics of followers on socmed being what determines that, esp when socmed is H E A V I L Y biased in the ways ive described, is incredibly dire

Is it OK to RT? because yeah this was one example I was thinking of. Another is someone having found X's "point" system that basically added positive or negative multipliers to a posts' reach based on arbitrarily assigned things like political leaning

capitalistic meritocracy/hyper individualist ideology to the max

that is inclusive of stalking, death threats, rape threats, doxxing and actual violence against their person. These are materially real threats that women visible online face, which many attest to being the reason why they do not create at all.

I also feel compelled to highlight that social media's refusal to effectively moderate often puts marginalized creators in danger, esp women. Not only do women creators have algorithmic biases against them to fight, but also often have to tolerate hate inequal to that of their male counterparts-

I understand. It's frustrating, but IDK I think we need to talk about it and demand better

This is also not taking into account financial barriers. Again, as I've mentioned before--who has the ability to create content for free online until they "build" something? It's typically not your average working class individual.

they create, separate from the QUALITY of the work they create, will prevent them from building audiences. What this means is that the only voices will be heard are the ones algorithms decide are "worth hearing"--and these algorithms are littered with misogyny, racism, trans and homophobic biases.

There is already evidence that many sites' algorithms have built in biases based on gender, age, attractiveness, and even political leanings. Being a content creator online is not a simple meritocracy; there are multiple factors that are stacked up against people that, separate from the work-

Re: studios wanting existing fanbases from youtube/content creators to greenlight projects

I don't think people are really grasping how much this is going to affect marginalized groups and their ability to have their stories told, especially in the AI era

IF YOU ARE A MAJOR INTERNATIONAL STREAMER

AND YOU ARE RELIANT ON LEECHING OFF AN EXISTING FANBASE TO HAVE A SUCCESSFUL SHOW

THEN WHAT IS THE POINT OF YOU

I want to caveat what I'm about to say with two points:

1) It's not new that execs want to work with people or IP that already have an audience.

2) If you have worked hard to cultivate an online fanbase with your show, you absolutely deserve recognition and interest from the industry.

HOWEVER.

One told me they're working with a YouTuber who has eight million subs, and if they can get 4m of them to watch the TV show, that's a win.

Similarly, I had a meeting with an exec at a major studio a while back who said if I brought them something with a big online following, they could sell that.
