I also decided to open up the lava hole, since there’s a convenient shaft right below. I’ve shaped the holes to match and I’ll either raise the hook or put in an elevator. There’s a red forced atmosphere nearby and I might put some kind of geothermal plant there.

I’m thinking I’ll do a retaining wall for this large vertical chunk so that it has a reason to be so…. Vertical. If there’s caves inside, which I think they’re are, I’ll create a damaged section of wall as a pathway between areas.

I’ve decided for the sake of my remaining sanity that I’ll only make one trip to the dream island per day for topsoil harvesting. I’m doing one layer of dirt that encapsulates the stone, and a layer of grass that goes directly above.

Amazing how adding dirt and grass can bring so much inspiration. I can see myself putting a little land bridge between the two land masses and winding the path down to the lower area behind me.

I’m determined to do something with this space, regardless of how ugly and unfinished it is.
