While Trump wastes millions on a military parade in DC, we're mobilizing everywhere else to show that organized people power is stronger than his authoritarian aspirations. app.sosha.ai/s/rE6Kpjxk

I'm not saying anything novel here but it really is just truly despicable to watch them use THEIR OWN COLOSSAL SCREW UP to slander the reporter THEY INCLUDED ON THEIR CLASSIFIED GROUP CHAT

On my last day at WilmerHale, I sent the following email to the firm. The news today about Jenner & Block being the fourth firm targeted by executive order only underscores the need for the legal profession to unite, stand up, and fight back.

Silence emboldens bullies. The intimidation of firms individually (while the rest sit back paralyzed by fear) ensures that they will all fall to the arbitrary whims of the president, one by one.

Please fight back. Please speak up.

Subject: Goodbye, and as ever

Hi all,

Happy Monday. Today is my last day at the firm.

Though my time here has been short, I leave with lasting impressions. The few of you I had the privilege to work with have exemplified for me the art and practice of Good Lawyering. I never knew a lawyer growing up, and so I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to learn from such talented, kind professionals. Thank you to all who have helped me grow.

On a personal note: my parents fled the communist Cuban regime in 1991 in search of a world based on merit, fairness, opportunity, stability, and justice. At the heart of these ideals in America lies the rule of law. As a second-generation American, I owe immense gratitude to these principles, which have given my family and me everything we know.
With this in mind, I implore all of us to cherish and defend the delicate pillars of our constitutional republic. We must resist their erosion lest we suddenly find ourselves in a brave new world devoid of the "law of rules." My family's struggles remind me, every day, that such a world is not a pretty one.
Please fight back. Please speak up. We owe it to future generations.
With relentless hope, and as ever,
Gilbert

P.S. I do not authorize the firm to release my personal or private information pursuant to the frivolous EEOC letter. If the firm intends to disclose attorney information, I request prior notice via email or phone.

I've been at DOJ for so many important speeches & presentations. Today, my heart is filled with sadness for my former colleagues & our country as a convicted felon who doesn't understand justice or the meaning of the rule of law & why both are essential to our democracy stands there.

Saving democracy takes practice: Practical skills you need to survive Trump's second term Resistance is resilience: How Americans can personally guard against the devastating impacts of Trumpism

"Your negative feelings are a healthy response to an unhealthy situation. ... Do not allow yourself to believe that what is happening in America in the Age of Trump is normal or routine. It is the opposite."

Federal workers at a Virginia town hall last night—this says it all!

“I know their goal is to make us miserable.” — so they don’t show up to work.

And Dems, take note: People aren’t here for your ill-timed, tone-deaf donation requests. It’s going to backfire. They want to see you fight for them!

"A woman is like a child": MAGA quickly turns its sights on stripping Republican women of power

This hits hard…

“Then she was fired by a Fox News weekend host.”

You know what else hits hard? The fact that voters thought it was a good idea to hire a reality show host/bankrupt businessman as President of the United States.

Had a conversation with a non political person whose buddy works for the forest service and was 10 months into his job supplying hard to reach parts of a national forest and was fired. The guy talking to me was like “I don’t really think my buddy’s $50,000 salary is gonna balance the budget.”

This country has seen some bad moments in the 61 years, 5 months, 16 days I’ve been on this Earth. But it has never, ever before come close to the supertoxic level of stupidity, mendacity, narcissism, nihilism, and moral apathy that threaten to destroy it today.

Actually, he told him to "shut his FUCKING mouth..." Wonder where the the four year old learned THAT. He also told him earlier, (all picked up on that hot mic) that "he wasn't really the president" and he picked his nose and wiped it on the Resolute Desk.

U.S. Park Service Strikes Transgender References From Stonewall Website The “T” was removed in references to L.G.B.T.Q.+ on the official site for the Greenwich Village monument, which marks a milestone in the fight for gay rights. Later, the Q+ also disappeared.

Erasing our history won't erase us.

Transgender people have always been here — and we always will be.
