If he weren’t aligned with developers we wouldn’t have 20 plus story luxury rentals on a Superfund site. The Gowanus clean up plan anticipates a certain amount of sunlight. The EPA’s calculations for the retention tanks were not based on this amount of development.

Thank you for the Gowanus Rezoning and 4000 dollar plus studios. Rezoning has increased property values substantially for nearby property owners and brought on bidding wars for rental units.

GF served in WW1. Too old for WW2 so joined the merchant marine and was capt of a boat torpedoed of the coast of North Carolina. Had five kids. I have a letter that my mom had written to him (she was 10) that was returned to sender. Much trauma here too - and my generation didn’t even know him.
