YouTube outdid themselves today.
They emailed me because they’re “concerned” I’m self harming. This is due to a video where I dared to talk about mental health representation.
Minutes before I got this email, they restricted said video because they treat mental health as a taboo subject.
The times I've gotten myself into changes this big I've gotten overwhelmed more times than I can count.
Use source control as much as you can so you can return to a working version when this happens and try again. I also keep copies of the "broken" classes to use as guides for retries
That is the hard part 🥲.
When making architecture changes you'll run into prior decisions that seemed innocuous but now are in your way.
This big a change should take at least a few weeks to finish, keep it small at first and migrate in small steps to avoid getting overwhelmed.

Once you have done that to some extent. You can start moving classes to a different project. You'll have to be mindful because you can't have back and forth referencing.
I recommend looking a bit into SOLID and Clean Code while you're doing this. You'll probably run into other improvements!
Then you'll be happy to hear DI is not as hard as it sounds.
All you need is some piece of code that provides your classes with their dependencies when they are constructed. That way your class can have a field referencing that dependency through an interface.
I doubt a tool is getting you out of this. Especially this far in, but let's try to work on it.
What kind of project are you building?
Are you using interfaces and some form of dependency injection?
On another note, why are you focusing on this? Are you having too many side effects after changes?
