There’s no tactics. Nothing feels stale. Each action is a pure extension of character. Battle Royale is great but through an action lens it’s phenomenal.
I was shocked cuz I love ninjas and samurais so I was certain the second segment was gonna be my favorite. But the third was so different from anything that we’ve ever seen with a Predator.
Predator: Killer of Killers was a great surprise. I never watched the trailer so it was cool seeing what eras we’d end up in as it went along. It’s a solid anthology, all the roads lead to something exciting. Was really thrilled with the Predator dogfight segment.

I was a 1st Assistant Director on this film. It was shot in an abandoned prison in Missouri. We were lucky enough to work with some very talented stunt professionals along with action designed by James Newman. We appreciate every eye that takes a look at the trailer.
He needs to come back!

The way the cars move in Ronin is really beautiful. Truly insane how dangerous these chases feel. Just look at that bike hit in the end. Incredible stunt work.

Some of the most exciting action filmmaking today can be found in Chinese direct-to-streaming cinema.
Really enjoyed this fight from Air Force Once
Few things go as hard as Kamen Rider ZO
Certain fan films really make appreciate that “people throwing hands in a costume” feel. Similar to kamen rider/super sentai. This Batman Beyond short goes pretty hard.
Never explained why I called it The Janitor Diaries. It’s silly but I was as a janitor for a decade while freelancing from a supply closet. Been proudly open about it but a semi-popular film twt guy once DM’d me saying “can’t wait for the next issue of Janitor Digest!” to be a dick and, well:
Gavin O’Connor worked with JJ Perry on Warrior (2011), Sam Hargrave on The Account (2016) and now Vlad Rimburg on The Accountant 2 (2025). The man knows his shit
