Some systems age like fine wine. The Mega Drive was released 37 years ago on October 29 1988 alongside Space Harrier II and Super Thunder Blade and it's still going strong! Today, the Mega Drive is THE system for homebrew with games like Earthion, Xeno Crisis & Darius Extra Version. Happy Birthday!

35 years ago I was playing Forgotten Worlds on Mega Drive. It was yet another fine arcade conversion, this time of Capcom's 1988 coin-op shooter. It was missing two of the arcade machine's original nine levels, but was nevertheless very fun to play and looked fabulous.
So mayyybe it's possible to render in 4 colors, it takes 20% more cpu but two palettes of 16 colors are then free for sprites and background #SGDK #SegaMegadrive
35 years ago, Mega Drive Strider arrived at the Mean Machines office fresh off the boat from Japan. It was a superb conversion of Capcom's run-and-gun arcade platformer that featured terrific audiovisuals and was extremely fun to play. An early Mega Drive must-have game.
