I'm afraid this needs to be owned by the USA as a whole, and denying that just perpetuates the cycle. Sadly I don't think the USA is ready for that yet.

I am not sure how other countries, typically allies, can trust the USA in the future if this kind of individual can be elected, and the type of governance can flip so wildly every election cycle.
As a non American I can only say that it doesn't matter. He won the election on every metric (popular, college etc). It was no secret what kind of person the USA chose to take the reins, and saying otherwise is just copium.
The actions he takes in public office reflects on the USA as a nation,
If I recall correctly Trump won the popular vote so as a nation they should own the damage they have done domestically and internationally.
I am not sure the damage that Trump is doing to the relationships with partners and allies can ever be repaired.
My Nothing 4a has turned up and I always forget the pain of getting everything reauthenticated, MFA moved etc.
My wife is one of the smartest people that I know but she seems to think that the dishwasher works via magic.
When I say people say that they can now do 3 days work in an hour I wonder what exactly they were doing for 3 days.
So why am I seeing differing results to everyone else? Is everyone else just doing Todo lists or API wrappers? Am I incompetent at this? Are they being dishonest and just hyping because it is the cool thing to do?
When we have finally got some code outputted, usually after multiple sessions used just for planning, I find myself having to correct many parts, some for simple things. When the feature it implemented has a bug it have up after a few hours of trying to fix it, I fixed it in 5 minutes.
I have been using it on a large distributed system with multiple complex domains. When trying to implement a new feature Claude just can't understand all of the moving parts. I have spent 5 days trying to get Claude to do something I could have done myself in 3
My experiences of Claude code and the experiences of others online seem to differ greatly.
The more I realise this may be a skill issue on my part, but the more I use it the safer my job feels.
Fox sitting
Foxes are great. I managed to get a snap of one just chilling at our doors last year, they came back multiple times a week and just sat there. They would happily share the space with you.

Big dip in developer productivity this afternoon.
I'm not sure Farage had considered the possibility that the family voting benefited his party rather than colluded against.
How is the Board of Peace working out?
I clearly haven't thought about this enough but I like these buckets. I'll have to pay more attention to the next pr that I review and see how it fits
My employer had asked me to use Claude code for a couple of weeks and and assess it's usefulness to the business.
Hit the session limit in a couple of hours and I am already a good chunk into the weekly allowance.
Looks like expectations may need to be changed
It is taking all of my self control to not buy a Go60 keyboard.
I use a Glove80 as my daily but on the occasion that I travel to the office I find it a pain. The carry case is massive and fills my backpack leaving little space for all the snacks I need to pack.
I have TeamCity "will not compile" errors showing in @rider.jetbrains.com and I don't use team city.
Is there a way to disable these errors? Or maybe disable TeamCity/TeamCity inspections?
It is just annoying when navigating the errors in a solution.
If you are dumb enough to ask AI to come up with a password for you then you deserve everything you are going to get.
The frustration got the best of me and I did it, replaced windows 10 with zorinOS. The speed difference is night and day
Unbelievably still working on this, my latest theory being that a namespace change of a hangfire worker is causing an issue
A windows update had now caused a bios issue.
What a shock
Firing up an old Windows 10 laptop for my daughter and it is painful. Everything takes minutes to happen.
She may be on full time Linux before me
I got one for Christmas when I was 7/8 and it is easily the most impactful gift that I ever received.
Interesting, and a little worrying.
I find it hard to see the longer term plan of this example not being malicious, but it may just be my pessimistic view of the situation
I like the take in this thread. It is good to see someone who creates an AI tool for devs not pushing the fallacy that it will make developers redundant
I got stuck there once when flights got grounded for one reason or another. 8+ hours on a cold concrete floor with nowhere to get food or drink. Horrible experience
