To be fair, it's half based on "Fingersmith", half on Park Chan-wook's film adaption "The Handmaiden"; but every time I told somebody I was writing a #stolitz fic based on "The Handmaiden" I sensed a recoil. Turns out like 3/4 of them assumed I meant "The Handmaid's Tale."
