Hmmm, so I understand most of the actual tuning now, but the only thing I don't seem to understand properly are the animation state machines. I get a few bits and bobs, but I can't find any tutorials/info on how to make animations "chain together", along with what everything means 🤔

I haven't drawn in so long...but

I think I got my motivation back. I want to learn "from the ground up" again. Learn fundamentals I may have missed. Experiment with new techniques, shading, colors...I'm excited to try again.

So my method also works to convert to different sized rigs as well, its just a *tiny* bit off where the toddler touches the ground, but probably can be fixed manually...if I can get the seesaw to work in game with two kids, I want to see if I can add other age groups, might be cute!

Sims 3 does animations very differently than 4, but it is possible to "convert" them with some finagling, might make a tutorial on it as I haven't seen anyone else do it? I checked numerous forums, etc, so I had to kinda come up with something on my own, but it works flawlessly 👀

Thread update: I'm making more progress, I'm understanding what each part of the tunings do!
At the moment I'm figuring out exactly *which* animation clips I need, as I'm converting the seesaw from S3

I know its entirely possible to create cc objects that sims can sit/ride on while the object animates. Yes, I know this is a "big" project to do, but I like to dive in head first as this is how I learn the best.

I have experience using sims4studio, blender, etc already. I just can't seem to figure out how to actually make it *work*. I've watched tutorials on how to do a specific thing, but not a break down on how each thing actually functions.

Click on object and select "play with" > select another sim > sims go to object > both sims get onto the object > object and sims start animating simultaneously > sims get off after a certain amount of time or when queue bubble is cleared

I say this because I truly believe they will use new horizons as a "base" and add/expand on its content. Upgrade the graphics, increase the island size, add more features, and so on. I feel like this is what would make sense, vs. starting completely from scratch
