Panel 2: The background changes to a serene blue with light emanating from the side and falling upon Shen, who suddenly has his palm cupped over his eye, a pained expression, tears streaming down his face, as he starts sobbing and shaking.

I might be a minority, but if (even at super cheap rates) proper VA is not within the budget and you NEED va, then boot up audacity and record them! I'd take developer voice lines being dorky over AI generated any day.
