Currently playing Edge of Allegoria from @itsavgjoe.bsky.social on Steam Deck. It scratches the Pokemon itch on combat and pixel art. The storyline is literally on drugs though and the vibe is a hilarious mixture of edgy irony and existentialism! I'm having a blast and the Discord community is cool!

Don't let the simple visual fool you! This is the heavyweight JRPG! What starts as a simple joke quickly becomes a deep social satire with existential questions, tactical battles, many side quests, and pop-culture refs. It all feels like Tarantino, Gilliam, and Aronofsky decided to make a game!!!

Tonight at 7pm Pacific I'll be streaming this game! Also, I'll be giving away TWO steam keys during the stream.

It's a game inspired by the original pokemon games, but one thing's for sure--it's not a game for kids!!!
