The book did not just "come" to the shop. Watanuki summoned it.

The most obvious answer would be Yuuko, but the thing that Seoritsu-hime said about being not *quite* like her creator threw me off. She and Yuuko are VERY similar.

But Seoritsu-hime hinted that Mokona knows the creator. I don’t think we can completely rule out those — except Clow, we know for a fact it wasn’t him.

I agree it must be important and that it will eventually be revealed.

Chapter 76 comes out on April 27th.

They share a lot of similarities -- they are both very strong, opinionated and sassy female characters. Not to mention the fashion taste.

It would be cool to have some detail about her past, agreed. But maybe not too much as it could lose some of her mysteriousness, which is what is cool about her.

She definitely looks like Hokuto and this style definitely "babifies" a lot of the designs, I agree 100%!

oddly enough, Kodansha never acquired the rights from other publishers.

All CLAMP works from Kodansha had always been Kodansha's.

But Kodansha really seems like CLAMP's main publisher these days....

yes, I always thought that GATE 7 had the worst scenario.

They CLEARLY have the time to do it -- they could release 16 pages bimonthly or trimonthly for all we know, but for some reason they still don't think it's the time to continue it.

As for GATE 7, without a publishing house willing to publish it, they cannot do it unless they self-publish it.

I agree that GATE 7 is a lot of work. The art is almost as elaborated as X.

But I don't think it's a matter of not having the "time".

By this point, I really think that resuming X is a matter of "whenever CLAMP want" and for some reason they don't think it's time for it yet.

And no surprises for GATE 7. But the fact that its rights are no longer with Shueisha and are only with CLAMP opens up possibilities of other publishers acquiring its rights... 🤔

Kadokawa did that with Kobato. (it was originally Shogakukan's).

GATE 7 should be resumed in Young Ace 😭

Both editions of Shin Shunkaden were published by Hakusensha but apparently its license was not renewed so it's back to only CLAMP.

Shirahime Syo was originally published by Kobunsha but Kadokawa released a new version in 2001 but license was not renewed so it's back to only CLAMP.
