Maybe, finishing above Man City is really hard. They had to spend another £100m in Jan to keep up with us.

We were but it’s always 38 games & everyone has dropped stupid points at different times. I believe the stupid points we’ve dropped & the crap football are both a byproduct of key players being out. Undeniable that with our best players available, we play with swagger & score loads of goals.

I hear it, maybe we’re already there but I think things would probably get worse if anything. I really don’t believe he’s holding us back. Man City being Man City (& all that comes with that) has been the problem so far.

Yeah, of course…I’m nearly 44 & coped with far worse than being top of the league & in a CL semi in most of those years.

Having Odegaard & Havertz back up top is night & day from what we’ve had for most of the season. The fact that we’re even in the PL & CL fight given how much of the season Saka, Odegaard & Havertz have missed is mad really.

Keep the faith, we might not win it but think they’ve earned that. UTA

The plan was to go straight back but then the kids turn up & life changes direction. Hopefully we’ll be able to afford more travelling when they’ve flown.

Yeah, sadly I’ve only been to India once. Did 3wks travelling around Kerala before spending the last few days in Goa & fuck me, needed about another 3wks to recover from the partying there 😂

Plan is to go back one day when we’re able to do Punjab & Rajasthan.

You’re not the only one. Seems a lot of people are emotionally fatigued & it’s no surprise, we give so much of ourselves to something we love deeply but have no control over.

Sure, my point is that I think that’s what he half expected & was hoping to avoid.

Of course but like I said at the start of the thread, the right/wrong/positive/negative impact of what he says can only be decided by each of us individually after the result of a game played by two teams typically decided by high variables & low margins. It is what it is.

Hard to not feel rinse & repeat when you’re doing a press conference & being asked the same/similar questions about the next ‘massive’ ‘vital’ ’must win’ ‘can’t lose’ game every 3 days for 8 months straight.

We are into every game really matters territory now & I like that he doesn’t hide from it.

Because he knows what it’s like. We were playing first, early KO, semi decent weather, 40k+ ST holders who’ve not seen their seat mates for a couple of weeks & playing a very good team who’d had 3 weeks off.

It was a dangerous game which looked like a ‘trap’ that he didn’t want to fall into.

There’s criticism over everything nowadays so you’ll always find it.

The reality is that he’s the manager & he has to say things before the event & the event in question is a sport, played between two different teams, typically decided by a huge amount of variables but very low margins.

Exactly “just admit it you bastard. This team can’t get over the line & your fans are scared little babies”

It can definitely feel that way at times but ultimately, I believe the vast majority want to & that’s what’s important.
