Latino voters are rejecting the cruelty, chaos and violence of the Trump and GOP mass deportation agenda. Like the majority of all Americans, Latinos believe Trump has gone too far and are calling for real reform and accountability.

While the administration keeps using the talking point of the "worst of the worst" and emphasizing their focus on "criminals," the pressure to fulfill Miller’s quotas ensures that they are instead going after long-established community members with deeply rooted lives and families here.
According to the Trump Administration’s own OMB internal documents, Trump and Miller’s obsession with mass deportation is diverting resources away from national security and the safety of our nation.
We cannot spend one more dime on this chaotic scheme.
The Trump and Miller anti-immigrant crusade weakens the country, undermines our values, and hurts all of us.

For 250 years, America has been shaped by immigrants from every part of the globe and become a beacon of hope and opportunity for the world... That is my story, and the story of every American who is a descendant of an immigrant, including every Justice sitting on the Supreme Court bench today.
As both parties look toward November and the midterms, the reality is that mass deportation is politically toxic and the public is calling for real reforms and real change.
Free political advice for Republicans – if you want to tamp down the political blowback against the mass deportation agenda you should actually stop pursuing the mass deportation agenda.
It’s been a rough week for the Trump administration.
Backlash to their reckless war of choice in Iran. The primary election results on Tuesday. Kristi Noem’s pathetic hearings on Capitol Hill, showing the corruption, cruelty, and chaos that defines their anti-immigrant, mass deportation crusade.
This is not accountability, just a reshuffling of the enablers of the Trump/Miller agenda.
The problem isn't just with Sec. Noem, DHS, ICE or CBP. Nothing will change until we until we recognize and hold accountable those who are ultimately responsible for what is playing out before our eyes.
Yesterday offered more compelling evidence why Americans are broadly rejecting the Trump administration’s cruelty, chaos, and misplaced priorities.
And in a classic example of ‘do as I say, not as I do,’ the Trump administration encourages the Iranian people to stand up and use their voices to speak out against repression while cracking down on the American people who are attempting to do the same here at home.
Trump/Miller and their allies are still violating the law, endangering lives and inflicting harm on American communities and families, citizens and non-citizens alike.
The vast majority of Americans stand with Marcelo and a vision of America in which he can stay and thrive - not the Donald Trump and Stephen Miller dark alternative.
The contrast with the clear-eyed vision articulated by Gov. @abigailspanberger.com on immigration, the economy and affordability, was striking.
The Governor spoke for the needs of the majority of Americans; the President for a shrinking base of support.
Here are my thoughts ahead of the State of the Union.
In this moment when there's so much division, let's embrace hope and unity, and let's chart a path forward together. #SOTU

The state of the union on immigration is clear: Americans reject Trump’s/Miller’s dystopian vision for America.
Here's what the data says, what the voters feel, and what we build next. 👇
Targeting infants and pre-schoolers has nothing to do with immigration enforcement and everything to do with perpetuating a campaign of terror to instill fear in the hearts of immigrants and citizens alike.
Congressional Republicans would rather bow down to Donald Trump and Stephen Miller than keep America safe and secure.
On the eve of President’s Day weekend and the likely shutdown of DHS, President Trump, de facto President Stephen Miller, and their allies in Congress are creating chaos, insecurity, and division due to their unrelenting mass deportation crusade all for the sake of political power.
Here on the Hill for the ICE accountability hearing.
Grateful to speak with Leader Rep. @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social and Rep. @repespaillat.bsky.social about the urgent need to rein in this administration’s abuses of power and protect our communities from escalating harm.
HAPPENING NOW: House Dem. Leader @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social, Rep. @whipkclark.bsky.social, Rep. @aguilar.house.gov, and the House Democratic Steering and Policy Committee begin their hearing on ending the out-of-control violence being inflicted by Trump and Noem's DHS.

WATCH: I joined Jorge Ramos on Así Veo Las Rosas to talk about this critical moment for our country.
Across backgrounds and political parties, Americans are sending a clear message: we must come together to reject this administration's abuse of power.
If this resonates, I hope you’ll follow along, read, and share with others who care about keeping this conversation grounded and honest.
We’ll continue to deliver rigorous analysis, while also creating more space for guest voices and storytelling that cuts through fear and distortion.
I’m proud of this work and the team behind it, and hopeful that building a more honest narrative can help shift what can feel immovable right now.
For me, this is about creating space for thoughtful analysis, new ideas on reforms, and the human stories that too often go untold. Immigration touches almost every aspect of our lives – and it's time we acknowledge it and embrace it.
It’s become clear that this is a moment that calls for both urgency and intention on the narrative on immigration. Alongside explaining what’s happening, there’s also a need to step back and tell a fuller story.
That’s why we’re relaunching our Substack as Charting a New Narrative on Immigration.
