This tweet is highly defamatory and Martina Navratilova should be fired from BBC Sport for it.

It demonstrates an horrendous level of hatred for a trans woman (who was cleared of all wrongdoing in a recent tribunal) because she is a trans woman.

My feeling is that it'll be there indefinitely. It's too much of a set up there with the venue itself and it being literally over the road from a new tube stop.

An article in the Times today by Kathleen Stock in which she claims, incorrectly, that ‘when the gay rights cause first got going, the ideal was toleration’.

To correct the record:
The gay rights movement I was a part of in the 1980s and 90s was not aiming for ‘toleration’.
Mere acceptance was not enough.
How would that help the isolated queer kid?
No. We wanted that child to know they would be loved and celebrated just as they were.

This is a really dumb move by them... the folks who moved their support to the LGBA won't be coming back any time soon and this will just compel much of their remaining support base to abandon them now as well.

Interestingly, the guys (Linehan, Wings Over Scotland) aren't as convinced and Dreyfus was still slagging off Stonewall a couple of days ago.
