A very very cool student project I'm excited we got to fund!
Here's to science in Toronto π§ͺ

the thing about our current moment is that yes, the anti-AI and anti-big tech people are getting very reactive nowadays - but have you seen what theyβre *reacting* to?
incredible exchange here, this website has the juice
Have you backed this amazing queer afterlives comics anthology? If not, if money allows, why not support some great art and read some great stories? ππ³οΈβπ
We got caught in HAIL yesterday and would like to speak to the manager
Just had my first Bluesky context collapse moment (complementary)
For whosoever shall give you a ferrero to rocher in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.
This is single handedly the funniest scene from any Star Trek
I'm so sorry for your loss. β€οΈβπ©Ή

More space spiders plz: been looking forward to starting Children of Ruin by @aptshadow.bsky.social for a while π·οΈ
I've only seen Koyaanisqatsi way back once at in NY (an inspired pick of my brother's), but it was entrancing. I've held off showing it to Anthony in the hopes of seeing it on a big screen!
I know you will pick something great! Hope all the travel goes well π«
What I want to know is who's going to do the 45th anniversary of Koyaanisqatsi next year! Would love to see that on the big screen again.
Seattle friends, check this out!
Hard to think of a more delightful way to see an opera, especially this one (my personal favourite) πΎ
What! That's amazingβthat's going to be so much fun, I'm excited you can be here for a Dumpster Raccoon.
Safe travels (where are you headed?), excited to hang out again π
Damn, that sounds absolutely amazing! Couldn't think of a better way to see my favourite opera, if we only weren't across the continent π
Are you going?
The four books of the comic Circles on a table
2026 book #7: Circles.
I went in expecting gay furry nonsense; I came out profoundly moved by the story of a gay found family at the end of the AIDS crisis. Drawing these so human characters thru a furry lens tbh makes their pain & their joy unexpectedly more accessible. A new favourite comic!
2026 book #6: There Is No Antimemetics Division by @qntm.org.
Complex and rich and complicated in the best ways, building on a great scifi & cosmic horror premise that develops in unexpected and rewarding directions and comes together in a surprisingly relevant way.
I really loved this book.
Ah sorry I just saw this now! Hope you had an amazing time up here π
This is horrifying. I'm so sorry this happened to your wife and you and your family. I'm glad it is cleared but that doesn't undo all the terror and pain they caused you all. Wishing you the best however you go forward π©·
I wonder if they've decided the air has gone out of the MCU's tires and it's time to pay themselves fat bonuses for cutting costs before enough people realize it.
Oof! Totally understand.
They also made a much less intense werewolf mystery about Ludwig 2 of Bavaria using the same engine, which almost single-handedly got me serious about learning German π©πͺ
(Not aiming to shill for a long-defunct game company, I just think both those games are super neat!)
Sounds like someone might enjoy Sierra's groundbreaking 7-CD horror masterpiece Phantasmagoria, which was basically a point-and-click movie whose parental gore filter could be disabled by removing a single file π
An old NES screenshot of a Metal Slime from dragon quest
Kids these days probably don't even know the pain of the metal slime π
ASCII game guides brings me BACK
tbh I haven't played a JRPG in a while, I've shifted towards Metroidvaniasβbut that's kinda the point, isn't it? I wanted something more casual and action-y and so found a different genre.
Stacking is fun! My favourite FF6 playthrough my party could kill the end boss with two attacks (2x4x9999, 2x9999+9999 magic).
Boo that they nerfed the game and made that unrewarding π
A little sandwich on an English muffin. The cheese melted below it looks like legs on each side
my little egg sammie looks like a mutant crab
Sorry to hear that! I'd bounced off the original game and always thought I'd come back for the remake, but that's exactly the game lost me the first time π«€
(Hope you have a full and fast recovery!)
A photo of a back yard. Some food and tea are out of focus at the front of the frame. In focus in the back is a cat
