given that starmer can’t come out and say “we gave him the job because he was friends with the same nonce as trump”, it’s up to broadcasters to ask mps from all parties if they think that was a wise strategy

Keir Starmer actually put this in a briefing to Labour MPs of 'useful questions to ask' today. The PM knew of Mandelson's relationship Epstein when he appointed him.
And yet thinks he can still exploit the grief of the victims. This is why he is not fit to be Prime Minister.
Voters have just today left to register to vote for the local elections taking place across England on 7 May. Anyone who wants to take part must register before 11.59pm tonight.
Registering takes minutes at gov.uk/register-to-vote. Just need name, address & National Insurance number. Pass it on.
Israel is "PROHIBITED" by the US from bombing Lebanon, says Donald Trump.
It underlines a basic fact:
Israel's genocide and war crimes could be stopped at any moment by any US president.
Back in September an MP reported a claim that Mandelson had failed security vetting. Keir Starmer seriously expects us to believe that at no point did he think to ask anyone “Is that true by the way?” He is either utterly dishonest or utterly incompetent. Or of course both. #StarmerOut

Starmer won't resign over Mandelson vetting row, senior minister tells BBC
True - he'll resign (or be kicked out) after Labour is wiped out in the local elections on May 7th...
Keir Starmer has lied and lied again over his decision to appoint Peter Mandelson. He must resign.
Outrageous if true that senior government officials are considering whether to withhold documents from Parliament that show Mandelson wasn't given security clearance.
The public needs the truth.
The BBC undercover investigation into false immigration claims is deeply irresponsible journalism. It does not highlight that exploitation by unregulated advisors occurs because legal aid was cut and the system is insane to navigate.
Labour frontbencher Steve reed apologises unreservedly for "puppet master" tweet about Jewish Tory donor.
Chutzpah.
Well at least Viktor Orbán is free to headline Wireless next year.
It’s a great moment to remember that in the leadup to this popular uprising, the first major gut-punch was delivered by Budapest Pride. Poetic justice. 🇭🇺🏳️🌈
Zack Polanskis green party could get 12 MPs in Labour rout at next general election, shock poll reveals.
We're not here to be disappointed with Labour.
We're here to replace them.

Orban’s defeat shows that when we stand together against the politics of hate and division, hope wins and the far right friends of Farage can be defeated.
Great to hear Zack Polanski speak here in Lewisham after a morning out canvassing for the Green Party. Great response on the doorstep. There’s every chance the Greens could win this council from Labour. Over 3,000 members in Lewisham now!
The Green Party now has over 225,000+ members.
Just to note; In December 2025, the Labour Party recorded that it had less than 250,000 members.
It's likely, based on the analysis graph (included) that the Green Party now have more members than the Labour Party have.
Only labour can beat reform here says Emily Thornberry
Londoners may regret protest votes for reform or greens in local elections says Sadiq Khan
Emphatic green win. Labour and Reform both down.
Hi @emilythornberry.bsky.social,
You might want to chat with @sadiqkhanlondon.bsky.social about this whole disinformation thing....
Get in! You see Labour? This is how you beat Reform. #GreenParty #HopeNotHate

Margaret Thatcher died 13 years ago today.
Everything broken in Britain comes from Thatcher.
Filthy rivers.
Ripoff electricity.
Landlords.
Trillions in Oil/gas stolen.
No Social Housing.
All Thatcher's poison.
7 hours of silence from the Prime Minister.
The US is using UK bases. The President is openly talking about destroying a civilisation.
And Downing Street says... nothing.
If you won’t speak up now, when will you?
Evil triumphs when centrists tut.
It's now been 3 hours since our supposed "ally" Donald Trump threatened genocide on a country of 93 million people.
We've had absolutely nothing from the UK government.
This doesn't come in a vacuum either - every day the US & Israel have been murdering innocent people.
A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again. I don’t want that to happen, but it probably will. However, now that we have Complete and Total Regime Change, where different, smarter, and less radicalized minds prevail, maybe something revolutionarily wonderful can happen, WHO KNOWS? We will find out tonight, one of the most important moments in the long and complex history of the World. 47 years of extortion, corruption, and death, will finally end. God Bless the Great People of Iran!
Trump just openly stating his intention to commit genocide at this point: "A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again."
This is the first time in British history that a party to the left of Labour has topped a national poll.
