That’s very true. He was that kid. Still don’t know why we calked him Scus though. His name was Johnny. 🤣 called him Scus since the infants.

My mate Scus really had his finger on the trigger. He listened to John Peel religiously. He introduced me to The Mo-dettes, The Lurkers and The Adverts. Scus was super cool. Wonder where he is now..?

In 79/80 we had a radio station at school. I had a show Thurs lunchtime with time to play 7 songs. One day the manager didn’t turn up so my mate Scus and I locked ourselves in the studio and played King Rocker 7 times in a row!! 🤣🤣 How we laughed when he turned up and we wouldn’t let him in. 🤣🤣

Bumped into the most beautiful Black Oil Beetle in the garden today. Quite rare and protected apparently. Amazing life cycle how the young hitch a ride on mining bees to eat their pollen. #nature #wonderfulwildlife

Incredible album. Borrowed my mate’s to tape back then but have subsequently bought a couple of mint copies. Incredible tracks on that for a K-Tel. One of my favourites at the time was The News /A World Without Love.

I still wear white musk for the memories it brings back. My wife goes mad. 😀

Wasn’t a coincidence. We were invited there after Marc’s show as we had nowhere to stay. So many bands were in the Columbia that night. It was *The* place for bands to hang out early 80’s.

Great choice there. I was once lucky enough to sit and share a drink with Vicious Pink Phenomena in the Columbia Hotel after a Marc & The Mambas gig. Incredible days indeed. 🎶🎵🖤🕶

Love that album. Sister had it. Still does somewhere. I loved his songs , The Queen Of 1964 a favourite. Real shame. 😢
