I agree with you. I am one of those people it lived up to. I came from humble beginnings & I do pretty well for myself because of hard work & opportunity. It's why I'm so vocal about what's going on. I want everyone to have what I had. Our country is sick. I won't jump ship. I'll fight for her.

According to who? You? What PR? If you think the country is so bad, why didn't you leave BEFORE Trump? I have NEVER wanted to leave my country. I've ALWAYS been grateful for the opportunities & privilege afforded me. It was NEVER perfect, but I always believed in what it stood for. I still do.

I said the best HOPE. I believe in the country that gave ME a chance to be the person I want to be. To speak freely, to think freely, & to move freely. That's not indoctrination, hype, nor delusion. That is MY lived experience. That freedom is under attack. I AM fighting for it. You're free to flee.

You are correct. We're NOT going back to what we were. Never Again! We've got a lot of work to do. A lot of cleaning up and cleaning out! It's not going to happen overnight. Possibly a generation or more, but we will be back. I truly believe that.

I have Canadian friends who don't feel like the Canadians on this thread. Maybe because they knew me personally & know my fight. They know I didn't ask for this & I'm NOT "passively" accepting it. For those who want to abandon us in our fight, that's your choice. Peace be with you. Time to move on.

if America didn't give hope to so many, even WITH its flaws, why do millions travel thousands of miles, much of it on foot, to get to it looking for freedom? It's THAT freedom I believe that will get us out of this mess. That's not indoctrination. It's democracy & lived experience.

You gonna pay our bills? Donate to our mortgages? Car payments? Feed us? We can't just "stay" out there! We boycott, write letters, make calls & show up at protests weekly! Just because state run media isn't covering it, doesn't mean it's not happening..it is. I KNOW, because I'm out there!
