In the terrifying “this might come down to Mario Cristobal time management” territory
Seems fair to say that the Heisman went to the right person this year
Curt Cignetti telepathically communicating with Dan Lanning: “I was an assistant coach under Nick Saban. You were just a general assistant. And it shows.”
Texas Tech in 60 minutes and 62 offensive plays against Oregon: 0
Indiana in 11 seconds and 0 offensive plays against Oregon: 7
They chose “run up the score” and the other 49 states not Alabama celebrate with glee so I guess that’s the most disrespectful option
Serious question: what is the more disrespectful thing Indiana can do to Alabama at this point: run up the score or bench all the starters with close to an entire quarter left? Bigger margin seems worse, but saying “we only need 3 quarters with our starters and let them rest” is also devastating
Oh yeah like I’m waiting all the way until January 12, please
rest in piss 2025
Thank god for college football, which has allowed for the Pop Tarts Bowl where it is a completely legitimate thing to say “Team Sprinkles, it’s time to meet your maker in Mouth Heaven” on national television
In the column of purely moral victories, James Madison did score more points against Oregon than any other team did this season, including Indiana!
I choose to believe in Tulane despite how this game has begun because of this
A beautiful Sport™️
A TOUCHDOWN? NO...NOOO
Until that last pass, Carson Beck 6/8 for 9 yards was in contention for arguably the most beautiful stat line for a half in recent college football history
The A&M-Miami game is absolute garbage and yet somehow has 15 more rushing yards in 32 less attempts in just under one half than the entirety of the Oklahoma-Alabama game last night

lasers are fantastical and easy to manipulate. only cold, yellow cylindrical steel will guide us to truth
I begrudgingly admit this has been the best possible game between two teams I hate and arguably shouldn’t be here at all
Alabama’s favorite goal recently: -3 rushing yards
Honestly, neither should OU and it’s now showing, but their case for inclusion was far clearer
It’s almost as if Alabama should not have been put into the CFP!
I don’t think Notre Dame should have been in, but the way the process played out to exclude them is borderline traumatic for them and that is terrible.

The things that needed to happen (BYU loses, Alabama loses big) have happened. If Ohio State beats Indiana (especially if by 8+) the debate for the final spot should* be between Texas and ND (and Texas has a pretty strong case to jump ND if they’re being compared H2H).
*-should ≠ actually will be
I've seen enough
Miami-Notre Dame shouldn’t even be a debate if Alabama loses. Miami should be in. The debate should be between ND, a team that plays a watered down (5-1 in 6 games) ACC schedule and has 0 wins against a CFP team, and Texas, which was 6-2 in a full SEC schedule and was 2-2 in games against CFP teams.
Not for nothing, but if you put Texas in at #10 and the current rankings more or less hold, you’d get a rematch of Texas-Texas A&M in College Station this time. Which would be better for the business of college football: that, or a rematch of Notre Dame and A&M? I have a pretty strong guess!
So 11/12 spots go to conference champions automatically: one for highest G5 school/the other for next highest ranked champion. So that would go to UVA if they win the ACC or likely JMU if Duke wins. Texas would need to move to 10 (basically impossible but this would be the scenario, like <0.5% odds)
