Turns out @pymig.bsky.social took Life Unculturable on the road π΄
Meanwhile, @microbemiller.bsky.social here⦠holding down the agar.

@pymig.bsky.social took Life Unculturable on the road β¦ and by βroad,β we mean deep into the Panamanian jungle π΄π
No @hexamergraphics.bsky.social. No @microbemiller.bsky.social.
Just goes to show β¦ you CAN take LU anywhere. Even places where Wi-Fi fears to tread.
We had an incredible time talking with Janet Rogers on Life Unculturable!
Out now on all the major platforms.
Bonus points for anyone who can find her photo on campus, take a selfie with it, and tag us.

@microbemiller.bsky.social and @pymig.bsky.social sit down with Janet Rogers, a cornerstone of the DNA Protein Core Facility at Oklahoma State University.
Janet has helped sequence untold numbers of samples, ensuring that generations of scientists at OSU always got the best data possible.
Proud to share the yeast telomerase structure, led by the talented @hongmiaohu.bsky.social in collaboration with the Wellinger and Chartrand labs. Discovered 37 years ago and took us nearly 7 years but totally worth the wait π.

@hexamergraphics.bsky.social came up with a series of rather difficult 'lab skills' for @pymig.bsky.social and @microbemiller.bsky.social to tackle blindfolded in the lab.
Part 1/4 ... may the best postdoc win.

You all voted and decided that consuming 'questionable' items was on the menu. Naturally, the sweet nectar of anoxic life was the only thing that made sense to us.
You all autoclave your rumen fluid, right? ..... asking for @hexamergraphics.bsky.social.

Yikes! Stay Tuned for more from behind the scenes @lifeunculturable.bsky.social!

@pymig.bsky.social, @hexamergraphics.bsky.social , and @microbemiller.bsky.social are filming some completely 'safe', highly 'professional' displays of scientific excellence.
The winter Olympics may be over, but the blindfolded lab skills are just beginning.
P.S. Don't drink the rumen fluid.
You can all thank @hexamergraphics.bsky.social for all of our recent βRoad Trippin' content. Turn in to our latest episode for a look at the slightly more chaotic, human sides of @pymig.bsky.social and @microbemiller.bsky.social.
No science, no media production talk - today, it's all about road trips and childhood memories.
This episode was recorded in a coffee shop, and the occasional bark of the coffee shop dog, Hope!

Weβre so grateful for everyone who has tuned in and followed along with the podcast so far. Your support truly means the world to us. Thank you for listening, sharing, and being part of this journey. Weβre excited to keep growing together and canβt wait for whatβs ahead!

Back in December 2025, we shared our very first piece of content. At the time, @pymig.bsky.social, @hexamergraphics.bsky.social, and I wanted to pull back the curtain on our lab lives.
Since then, we've grown beyond anything we originally anticipated. We owe that growth to you all, thank you!
WD-40 may not be a growth medium, but we're going to talk about it anyway.
We genuinely appreciate every stream, share, and DM.
Episode five is coming on Thursday (02/26/2026). Consider this your official heads-up: an early-2000s gangsta rapβinspired episode is headed your way.
