LGBTQ+ History MONTH UK Exhibitions Manchester: People’s History Museum - Re/Assemble Explores the 1988 Section 28 protest in Manchester & features new artwork commissions that respond to its legacy Kew: The National Archives - Love Letters documents exploring 500 years of devotion, longing, sacrifice, & passion. Around one third of the documents feature same-gender relationships including Oscar Wilde, Anne ‘Gentleman Jack’ Lister & her partner Ann Walker Details from Anne Lister's (1791–1840) will, held at The National Archives - Anne Lister's signature and stamp in the lower left corner and lower middle of the poster with the will as the transparent background of the poster. The men are arranged in relaxed poses—some standing, some bending or sitting—clustered near what appears to be water. Their bodies are simplified and solid, outlined with strong, dark contours.
