Have you tried a Pultec MEQ simulation for the 1K boost? It also does that really well. An API 550 is probably a bit more "rock" than you're looking for. And I'm not sure what other options you might have access to.
the low-frequency smear of a 1073 is such a specific and recognizable sound. I'm much more drawn to Neve-ish gear for guitars, where the subtly-overdriven 2k peak can really shine.

this would have been challenging if you'd asked cinematographer, because it would be difficult to decide between James Wong Howe and Raoul Coutard.

Correct past tense: happened to see this post
No, I happen to see this post and not some others, and started in an arbitrary place!
I'm halfway through right now and could not remember how it entered my awareness. Your post today gave me clue enough to figure it out!
wow.
often far from standards, but Luantico is a restaurant (so maybe kid-friendly?) with amazing jazz performances
Sid Golds is more rock-oriented for a piano bar, full of magic, I've never seen kids there. (?)
Friends on the Upper East Side love Brandy's, but it's otherwise unknown to me.
while not exactly torch songs, still a truly magical place
Front of the Yards, One Side of the Yards, Other Side of the Yards
Did I miss one?
Easily the highlight of a soundtrack that misses more often than it succeeds.
I love that half of the responses to this post are about NA Malort.
proud to have mastered this one and played a small part in its finally getting released!
