I agree with @urocklive1.bsky.social. I also am a long-term sufferer. I would recommend if you have these over the long term, to find a headache specialist. That would be a neurologist who has done a fellowship in headache medicine. They then specialize in treating only headaches.

P.S. the Nurtec would be “prophylactic” if your insurance would not pay for both. Your doctor might suggest taking it every other day or something like that.

These also can be taken in conjunction with Nurtec if your insurance will cover them both simultaneously. Your doctor needs to write for them together as one abortive and one prophylactic.
