I'm sad that we probably aren't fostering this summer (Xan is probably in a slow but final decline) but I am not sorry about not being covered in tiny punctures.

Tiny stabby potato. The best kind of potato.
Did you have effects on your sleep issues at the lowest dose or did it start at some higher dose?
That’s a major brand of things like backpacks and sports equipment racks
Infallibility only applies to a select set of things the pope opines about, not everything, so I don’t think he’s actually proclaimed anything that falls under that umbrella (yet?)
I spent today studying for my drone pilot certification test. Got an 80% on the practice test, so should be good. Still gonna study more for the weather & regulation sections, because those are my weakest areas.
Someone at the conference I’m at (GIS conference) mentioned in passing that their dissertation was on typeface evolution in cartography and man, people know the coolest shit if you just let them talk…
Excellent positioning to ensure good airflow around those fluffy toebeans.
A framed triptych of brightly colored topographic maps from different Montana state parks.
I won a gorgeous set of maps from the Montana State Library at the map nerd conference (Montana Assoc of Geographic Info Professionals)
“Bet.” —tiny kitten, probably
It really is. A right to privacy! A right to a clean environment! Water is not owned by private individuals but rather held in trust by the state for its citizens!
I got my bachelors from a school run by the USCCB, and they, specifically Dolan, are a HUGE reason I am no longer Catholic (atheism followed quickly) and somehow I am rooting for them? We are fully through the looking glass.
Scheduled the test to get my Part 107 drone pilot certification. Feels like a workable path to employment post-PhD since government science isn't an option right now (ever again?)
Thanks, Irish man.
My Orgain subscription now ships through them, and it’s been pretty questionable. Random dude in random vehicles tossing heavy boxes on my porch from 10ft away, texts about “unable to locate“ our address that I thought were phishing scams…I’m this close to canceling just due to the shipper!
Gah. Add it to the list of tasks.
thats AI too :(
Man, scrolling through their feed was unpleasant. Easy block just so I don’t have to ever run across their ”humor” (which I’m sure they describe as “droll“ or “dry” or “sarcastic”) again.
I use QGIS, but I’m starting to worry that not knowing Esri products here in the States is going to be a problem when I start job hunting after graduation. Most consulting firms seem to be totally Esr-focused.
Yes, I’ve managed to lose sensors that I put in a river and marked with GPS. In an entire strait? If something moved even a few meters, it just became much harder to find in a featureless expanse of water!
As someone who has tried (and sometimes failed!) to find the pressure transducers in a river that I had marked via GPS 3 months prior, I find this completely plausible.
I wanted one of these so bad when I was in college.
Yessssss!
Thanks, I hate it.
We rank our elderly cat’s Gaba dose by whether or not she currently knows she has legs. (She gets a partial capsule, so the actual dose varies sometimes, plus some days it hits harder than others!)
TRex arms?
A cable bike lock with a shredded section where someone tried to use bolt cutters to snap it.
I’d like to recommend Abus’s combination cable lock for holding up against a set of bolt cutters sometime in the last week!
Waiting to hear from the accountant what we owe, and I am miserable at the thought of writing that check. It’s gonna be a big one too, which feels worse.
Cat tax!
She’s got arthritis, hyperthyroid, chronic pancreatitis, and an undetermined heart issue (not stressing her out with testing just to get a firm diagnosis), but she’s still her cranky, purrfull self so we just manage and see how long we can get with her!
