Republicans don't even try to win redistricting elections anymore, they just look at you like this.

Nikki Laurenzo @NikkiLaurenzo 🚨🚨 NEWS: just received this statement from senior staff of California’s 14th Congressional District and Eric Swalwell for Governor 2026 ⬇️ “As leaders of teams working for Eric Swalwell, we’re horrified by the recent reporting in the San Francisco Chronicle and by CNN. We stand with our former colleague, and the other women who have come forward. We believe you should stand with them, too. The behavior detailed in these reports is abhorrent, beneath the dignity of those serving in public office and betrays the trust of all Californians. We also understand that we lead teams who need guidance and stability now, more than ever. We are focused on supporting our colleagues during this challenging time. Any decision of staff members to remain in their roles in the interim should not be viewed as support for Eric Swalwell. We recognize that not everyone — in particular our junior staff — can immediately forfeit their income and benefits without significant personal risk or consequence. Our responsibility now is to them. We, more than he, understand that we have obligations to the people we lead and to the constituents of California’s 14th Congressional District. Those of us that remain on staff do so for the sole purpose of ensuring that as many of those obligations are fulfilled as possible.” Last edited 5:12 PM · Apr 11, 2026 ·Twitter for iPhone

It happened twice tonight out of the three elections that were being held in FL.
🤔
BREAKING: Democrats just flipped the Florida House district that includes Mar-a-Lago. Yes, Donald Trump is going to be represented by a Democrat.
Our complete recap -->
It's really just comical at this point. I don't even know what there is left to say.
The gambling markets have done it again. Masterful work, gamblers.
"Wisdom of the crowds! Wisdom of the crowds!!" I shout into the void.

The ego is insane in all of the single digit candidates
No write-ins allowed. Ballot from 2022 in orange county.
Gambling odds only reflect gamblers sentiment. Why does anyone care what gamblers think!? They don't have any special knowledge, as evidenced by the multiple examples of 70-93% odds completely flipping and ending up as losers.
The problem is this happens CONSTANTLY.
MS-02(R): Wilson @93 5 days before e-day (L)
TX-Sen (R): Cornyn @91 to place second before polls close, (1st)
NJ-11(D): Malinowski @90% to win, (L)
The gamblers don't really know much more than some other ding dong. News media citing this stuff is insane
A 25% outcome hitting three times in a row is ~1.6% (1 in 64).
Big day for people using gambling sites as sources of data to tell how a race is going
Another L for the "wisdom of crowds" crowd.
Ignore this trash!
Kalshi employees "kind of understand that without the tweets and the streamers and all of the social-media stuff that the traders do for them, usually just for free, their marketing would be a lot harder," said Jack Campion, 20, a junior at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Kalshi affiliate. In September, Kalshi briefly signed up a 15-year-old videogame streamer who goes by vertid online to promote its brand on X as an affiliate. A week later, Kalshi ended the partnership. "Yo brother, legal team confirmed that we can't work with minors rn," a Kalshi employee wrote to the user in messages reviewed by the Journal. "Kinda sad tbh."
what the fuck are we doing

Preach!
All these "markets" measure is the sentiment of gambling addicts.
Whoever on @ericswalwell.bsky.social's is saying this is a good idea.
Stop. 🛑
High-speed visual of gamblers being loudly wrong until they get punched in the face by reality. Stop using betting markets as reportable "data." It’s worthless.
Merry Christmas! 🎄
My present to all this year is access to high resolution versions of the maps I've posted in the last month. Enjoy! 🎁

The new 40th only voted No on 50 by about 5.2 points.
I think the new CA-40 is in play personally, despite it functionally being a Republican vote sink. I have heard the DCCC doesn't think it is, so I doubt national money will play here.
I feel OC BOS District 1 can be in play with a high profile viet dem, but Janet N. is still a strong incumbent.
Finally, Prop 50 results by precinct in Orange County.
The largest Yes margin came from the UCI student housing communities precinct (Camino del Sol)
96.5% of voters voted Yes on Prop 50
The largest No margin came from a gated community in Laguna Niguel along Morning Dove
84.6% voted No
